    I got some great scroll saw books for less than £4 on ebay, you just have to ignore the vastly overpriced books, 'awesome books' and 'greener books' were good for me. Should you save a search on fleabay it will email you when books/mags are listed Good hunting

    Repairing a Bench Grinder

    How about drilling a new hole, to replace the old hole, and grind the old pin flush. An old allen key can be made to suit as a driver perhaps, or better still a twist drill shank ground to length needed. Good luck

    Scroll chuck 3/4 x 16 ?

    So I finally got a lathe, a Draper WTL12. Not the best from what I've read here, but guddnuff to keep me happy ! I got calipers & thread gauges out and headstock thread is 3/4" x 16 tpi, so I would like anyones advice on a chuck to suit. Is this Dakota any good, and is price reasonable ...

    Dowel plate

    One consideration could be a piece of stainless steel of perhaps 5mm thickness, would be a bit tougher than mild steel and won't rust.

    Personal Challenge - and a bit of fun.

    Good idea, like it !! My Doctors practice nurse help me quit with free patches and chewing gum, so help is there if you need it. I quit 6 months before they banned it in pubs, best thing I done in ages. Good Luck Steve !!
