    Rocket stove video 2

I think that you've nailed it Graham, just adding fins will help to disperse more heat into your workshop. Many thanks for sharing Graham. =D> =D> =D>

fabricating a moveable base - need help!

I recall making a similar base about 15 years ago when I was a fabrication engineer for ten years. I recall using 40x40x5mm which I believe would be strong enough for what you need. Good luck

    VAT

I totally agree with you, and I think I know which company you are referring to, as I went through filling all details in to find vat added at last page, which made the chuck more expensive than others. I went for a G3 from Peter Childs, great price and vat clearly stated, also great people to...

    Clarke CWL-20RV Drive problems

Can you rotate the head/chuck backwards or forwards at all? My Draper lathe has an indexing stub to the back of the chuck, if this is engaged it locks the spindle to remove the chuck. Will it change speed if you hand turn the chuck backwards or forwards? Sometimes the speed handle may have to...

    fed up

Hi Graham and welcome to the forum. I think you have made the right choice, this was my first choice after a lot of research into other makes etc. Being a canny Tyke it should tick most your boxes and not break the bank. I was on the verge of buying this decoflex when I noticed a Hegner for...

    Using old files as scrapers

Serving my apprenticeship, under a guy who had trained at Rolls Royce, he reckoned if you left old files outside for a few months to rust, and then wire brushed them, you had a file that was useful again. If I can remember where my old files are, I will try it, what the heck !!

    K10 adaptor ?

WOWEE !! What a great website. I contacted Mike, he replied in a few hours, but I've put this problematic project on the backburner for a while, as I treat myself to a new G3. I signed up to woodworkers institute, and what a loada stuff they have on there, dont know how I missed them in my...
