Very useful guide, thanks. One question that has always puzzled me is why circular saw blades are sold by the number of teeth and not TPI? A 200mm blade with 80 teeth will be finer than a 300mm blade with up 80 teeth so wouldn’t TPI be better? Richard

Seconded, that makes perfect sense. If you can’t lock the vice you may be able to get a helper to put a suitable sized pipe over one end, get the bend next to the boss and then use another pipe at the other to straighten it. Even better if you have access to some heat or a body builder :D

Just to finish this off, I solved extending the port out the front by using advice given and sliced the hose coupler down the side, removed about 4mm and then solvent welded back together. I found a bit of 100mm ducting that you can buy from screwfix/tool station that mated the reduced hose...

My Ts250 came with a sub fence so you can adjust where it finishes, it’s slightly too long in my opinion as it finishes at the end of the riving knife, so I have mine pulled forward so it sticks out the front and finishes just after the centre of the blade, probably should cut a chunk off it...

Yes, looked good for the garden but not so good for heavy items on the ground, I was thinking a sack barrow allows you to get underneath without having to lift (just tip) and then move it. Richard
