    Advice for fixing a Parkinson's 16 / Record 53 vise

And now is as good a time as any to mention that sometimes these are put on upside down. For a short section it may work but they definitely jam up when trying to open fully. Cheers Andy

    Advice for fixing a Parkinson's 16 / Record 53 vise

As far as I can tell this only locates and supports the screw. If it still holds together well I think it should be ok. EDIT to say I'm talking cobblers  Following posts explain the need to have this to enable opening with quick release action. Andy

    David Stanley auctions

Ian and David will be delighted to see these turn up. Your friend, unless she knows is in for a very pleasant surprise. Would be a big advantage to see some bubble wrap to stop what will be horrible transport damage. Cheers Andy

Stainless steel field gate hinge stockists

I only need 4 top bands and 4 bolt through (stainless?) hooks for some large Accoya gates. There are plenty of galvanized options and stainless adjustable single bands but I would like to find some stainless double bands. Even a bespoke manufacturer would be worth looking at. Cheers Andy

    Lurem Spindle Moulder

Thanks, alas yes, definitely a smaller one. The way you describe keeping the key in position fails in this instance as it is designed to lift out (and I guess used on another machine) and leaves the pulley behind. Tis the motor pulley. Cheers Andy

    Work Boots

I rarely wear anything other than my boots and with big wide feet it was hard to get good uns that is until last year. We displayed at the National Ploughing Championships mudbath. The geezer across the way called Aussie Clobber was selling REDBACK (DEALER) BOOTS and I tentatively enquired. £90...

    Lurem Spindle Moulder

Misterdog , (Mr Ed) and Kidneycutter thanks for the replies. The key thing I'm after is a clear understanding of how your motor and pulley assembly is configured. On my machine the motor and shaft is to all intent removable and leaves the pulley in place. The motor shaft has a key and keyway...

I know what you're saying but it is a pig to separate. Wonder how modern flush vehicle windows are bonded? The same system might be applicable? Andy
