    I find the blade doesn't push very easily and wants to stick. It does look like they have put a coating on the blades this time. The shape of the new handles bug me and I was thinking of just using my old ones but they've changed the bayonet fitting. I'll have a try of the others and if no good...

    Once again Lidl have been penny pinching and changed the manufacturing of summat. Those little saws were the best I'd ever used and now I find them unusable.... Is it just me? Cheers, perplexed Andy

    How wide are the walls of the box section? Perhaps this method will cause it to deform? Can you get inside the section ends? Sometimes the square on these modern coachbolts are not so crisp at the corner. Apart from a file to file it perhaps a biggish file with the handle removed the square...

    Sold Record 52-1/2 QR vice

    52-1/2 E 13-1/2 open x 9wide x 4deep A good usable vice. This is in a clean unrestored condition with a tested positive clamping action throughout its opening range and sufficient jaw pinch. Many many years of life still in it. I'm probably being picky but here's what I want you to know...

    A Shell Auger, nose auger, pod auger, split nose auger (all the same thing) with lipped cutting edge should help here to pull in as you turn and cut. Cheers Andy

    No52E cleaned and working positively. . The "pinch" is very good and no "camming out" under pressure. Bit of paint and top of jaw marks. Small mark on one bar which does not detract from use. This vice has many lifetimes of work left in it. £75. Pick up, meet part way from M69 Cheers Andy
