Wanted 5" surface mount rim lock/latch keep

Old school with a bit of brass embellishment preferred. Must be square ends. If it has to be the whole package including the lock to get the right thing, so be it. Let's see what you got or hints as to availability elsewhere please. Cheers, Andy

    No Metal workers In Sheffield.

I assume that the cranked part is going under the bench. Will the jack not pivot on the front wheels as the weight of the bench presses down ? Cheers, Andy

    Fake vintage hand tools?

Here's one of the most researched examples I know of. There are others and when you get your eye in it becomes obvious that someone has recently marked the tool. Cheers, Andy https://www.petermcbride.com/oldtools/math_forg/

    Oak picture rail joints

EDIT just seen previous post.... Are you cutting splices by hand? If so allow enough length and overlap the two lengths vertically with a piece of board under the joint area. Proceed to freehand cut the angle (I prefer roughly 30°) through both at t same time, as long as the cut is clean it...

    Lurem Spindle Moulder

Thank you for bringing this up. So from the sound of it you have the one motor multiple machine set up. If this is the case might I please trouble you for some details of the motor to machine connection in particular the motor shaft assembly. Sorry to hear about your finger incident. Cheers, Andy

Plugging existing hinge holes in MDF

Quite the simplest and most efficient way of doing this is bore out the hole with a 1/2" engineers 3 wing countersink and make plugs with a plug cutter to suit. Make the plugs out of the best quality ply you have to hand and super glue them in using more than one plug for deeper requirements...

    Attic hoist / elevator design

In your own property what you propose seems all well and good but making and fitting something like this, possibly without any certification, to a clients property sounds like a court case waiting to happen. Cheers, Andy

Do you have a picture of it on your device? A Google picture search should provide some reference. Do you have the specific details of how it's generally identified? Cheers, a very intrigued Andy

    Making internal doors

The key question in this situation is if the 33mm is trimmed in one go would you be ok with the bottom rail being so much narrower? I would notice but the majority of visitors to your home will have no idea it has even been done. Don't forget you can take a little extra from the top while you...
