    Burning Accoya

is it ok and safe to burn accoya offcuts in a domestic woodburner? Considering starting to use it but frankly if I can't burn the offcuts then its pointless and extremely wasteful.

    Oak and Accoya windows

I'd just laminate the oak straight together. No messing with accoya, from what I know the prices are the same anyway (?) for your cill sections glue up 3" x 5" & 1.5" x 5". And for the Jambs you want 2.5" & 1.5". PU glue and plenty of cramps. Keep the thinner laminations to the inside as the...

Buying sawn boards and calculating waste.

    Planing, do you use pushbocks?

Interesting one about using push sticks on a P/T. I think it's down to personal preference. I feel I only have full control if using my bare hands. If planing wide boards I'm more than happy to run my hands over the cutter block with the board between. As others have said - a well waxed surface...

    Plywood or MDF drawers....

The only MDF I am happy using these days is MRMDF. It's great to do internal stuff with and also no need to sand / seal the edges. has a nice dense feel and not much more than regular MDF

    Panel glue-up

Don't really have an issue with the length of his fence but your right, he is using far too much glue. He should have spoken about the importance of coordinating the boards so that the rings run in opposite directions, which help to stabilise and avoid cupping. It does run along side choosing...

    Wadkin AGS-250-300

I have a wadkin ags 12" in good nick that I paid £550 for. Mine is 1962 though so pretty old. great saw though! spare parts on old wadkins cost a bomb if you have to buy the original, as they make them to order. Sounds pricey to me. with more work and potential problems involved.
