    Shaper Origin.. again.

That's interesting... I didn't realise that CNC machines can be wall mounted. Not that it makes any difference to me at the moment as wall space is in as short supply as floor space, but good to know nonetheless

    Shaper Origin.. again.

We sometimes work in indoor Equestrian venues during the winter in which, even 5 years ago, the cameras couldn't get a saleable image.. but the modern generation can. And that's why I invest in the latest camera gear. The older cameras still have their uses though. Yes you're right about the...

    Shaper Origin.. again.

There's no doubt that it's a specialised bit of kit, but for me it would be very useful and do things that I'm unlikely to be ever capable of. Add that to the fact that my workshop is tiny (I don't have space for even the smallest of CNC machines) then it's something for me to consider. I...

    Shaper Origin.. again.

One of the units in the title of this posting ?

    Shaper Origin.. again.

I'm not familiar with the Wadkins, but my workshop is tiny and I haven't seen anything that does a similar job. As a professional photographer I'm more than aware of how the technology ages badly (I have an office full of state-of-the-art cameras that are no longer fit for purpose). :-(

    Shaper Origin.. again.

I've had a very kind offer of a demo from a member of this forum which I'm very much looking forward to.

    Shaper Origin.. again.

No not trade.. just a keen enthusiast with increasing time to spend on my hobby. I have a load of ideas as to what I might use it for - the practicalities or suitability may however be questionable, hence the request

    Shaper Origin.. again.

I've posted on this subject before, but... I'm considering purchasing one of these units. What I'd really like is a proper - ideally hands-on - demo. I've been in touch with the company in Germany and whilst very helpful they're not doing any roadshows and they don't have any dealers (they...

YouTube Woodworking Channel Format?? And camera choice?

As a consumer, I prefer to hear some form of commentary. I love the work that Young Je does, but find the lack any verbal explanation to be frustrating. If you're not confident enough to speak directly to camera, then consider a voice over after you've filmed it, or (less attractive for me, but...

    Corner clamps

Thanks everyone. After an intense evening of review and Youtube I decided on the Bessey WS3. I have other Bessey clamps and find them to be well built - if a bit pricey - but they were on sale at D&M.

    Corner clamps

I'm looking to buy some decent corner clamps. I've got some plastic ones but they're totally useless. Can anyone recommend anything ?

    Exotic wood purchase

Interesting thank you - I'll look into that.

    Exotic wood purchase

    I think that's a typo - a Google search said that - unfortunately - it's Brentwood, Essex.

    Exotic wood purchase

Thank you all I've placed an order with Woodwise. Not sure why they didnt come up in my searches, but looking forward to seeing what's delivered. J

    Exotic wood purchase

Hi all I know that this has been asked before, but I'm struggling to find any vendors in the UK who can supply 'unusual' grain hardwood, specifically for box making. Something like curly or quilted Maple. I'm actually not overly fussed as to the type of wood - it's more about the grain...

How to finish this Teak (?) table

Thanks Sgian Dubh and Peterm1000 In this (possibly rare) case.. its solid wood, but I'll be careful nonetheless. I use Osmo satin for most things so I'll look at their range.

How to finish this Teak (?) table

I'm looking to refinish this dining room table which we've had for donkey's years, and which has seen better days. I *think* that it's Teak - hopefully someone will be able to confirm that. It obviously needs a good sanding, but thereafter, what's the best way to finish it..? It's used every...

    Shaper Origin

I'm waiting until lockdown restrictions have eased and hoping that I'm going to be able to get an in-person demo of the Shaper before I decide. I'm sure that the uses are endless, and far beyond the very poor (IMHO) promotional videos.

    Shaper Origin

I wasn't aware that it was now owned by Festool - that's very reassuring.
