    Photos

Thanks guys, I must have been having one of my 'senior moments' again. Have checked on the photos I sent in and they do enlarge. Only one of them doesn't but I can see now that it was a greater reduction than the others. Malcolm

Can someone please explain what is needed to input photos and have the facility to allow them to be enlarged when clicked on. The photos can look so much better but all I do is reduce the size of my jpeg's to 25 0r 30% and use that. Could it be that it has to be another format and not jpeg...

    new box

I'm the same. I make as I want to and try and do different designs, I have a couple on the go at present which are different again. I dont even price the boxes until finished and then assess what is in them and how intricate they may be. I have only made to order 3-4 times and each time I say it...

    new box

£20 is far too low for that box. Had I made it, I would be asking £45 at least. The finish is excellent and it is most attractive. In future, if you wat to see prices, just google bandsaw boxes. Here's an example for you from a superb box maker in the USA, Dave Woods http://designer-woods.com/...

    Random Orbit Sander advice needed.

Just bought this 1/4 sheet palm sander and its really great. http://www.google.co.uk/shopping/produc ... GwodNL4D6Q I already have a Bosch GDA 280E as well as the larger sanders but needed this addition. With the Mirka Abranet sheets it works a treat. ? Malcolm

    Bandsaw

With Blades, it really depends on what you intend to use your bandsaw for. I do have a 1/2" Tuffsaw blade but rarely use it as I need to make plenty of turns and smaller blades are more useful. You should really have a few blades and whilst I appreciate that cost may be important, a 1/4" and...

    Epoxy clear resin

These "Clear Coats" resins that are not Epoxy, whilst I understand what they are used for, are they as tough as Epoxy. Do they 'hold' the wood together as other wood glues. I am interested in the fact that two or more pieces of wood that are not 'flat' could be put together with epoxy, which...

Have you seen the one on the For Sale forum?

    Epoxy clear resin

Thanks Mike & marcros. I didn't know what the difference was, save it being for solid stability, but the polyester doesn't seem appropriate in this instance. I have been looking at the videos on filling voids in table tops and the coloured wide voids in coffee table and that's more the sort of...

    Epoxy clear resin

This block is anout 12" x 5" but voids in some others could be larger or wider. I wanted to try clear on this, but may wish to colour other voids depending on how it looks. I like the look of the West 105 - 205 but have no idea of using epoxy and would need it to hold the split firmly as I...

    Bandsaw weight dewalt bs1310

Welcome to the forum. Not sure of the weight, but I had the 1340 and it's similar. Easy enough to lift into the car boot on your own. You shouldnt need a trolly, but depends if you are used to carrying a reasonable weight briefly. Nice smaller bandsaw and sometimes regretted selling mine but...
