Advice on using an MFT to cut full sheets

What are you wanting to cut and what are you wanting to produce? Do you need repeat cuts? Is it a task that you will do regularly, or after fitting out the workshop will the need diminish? I don't generally cut full sheets because I can't get them home! I use some Stanley sawhorses and an mft...

    Polishing textured wood.

I have a hand held furniture brush which I would use on that. Liberon I think.

    Vaccine Passports (domestic).

You can't buy a yellow fever certificate off the internet. Not readily anyway, the dark web perhaps.

    who are the most reliable

and I would estimate that 99% of branded tools bought within the last year or two are still reliable, so it then reverts to favourite colour! it is very hard to judge. I would buy based on the features and reviews of users (rather than unboxing and quick demo reviews), but then it comes down...

    Buying wood cost effectively

we once did a router plate group buy. I bought through it but was not involved in the organisation, but there was a huge amount of time and effort involved by those that were.

    Buying wood cost effectively

pipe dream. Certainly with the oak veneered ply, it is about buying large quantities and it being delivered once to a single location. Having 50 people all wanting a sheet each delivered somewhere different, or even collected wouldn't achieve the same thing.

    What cost for European Ash

British Hardwoods do this too. "£323.44, call it £320 plus the dreaded..." working out the price per board means multiple calculations, and the rounding that I have had and seen has always been in the customer's favour (as has measuring of defects).

    What cost for European Ash

that is a different but very valid question. There is clearly something amiss here. something that we dont know, or that the OP doesn't know or has misunderstood. If it is sawn ash, and there was 4 cubic feet or thereabouts, I would say that it is impossible to find anywhere else in the country...

    What cost for European Ash

I doubt that they have thought that much about the £250, just arrived at the answer. There wont be a build up of x hours at a rate, etc it is just a lump sum made up on the spot, briefly considering the circumstances. That is where it is difficult to know whether it is reasonable. Make a bit of...

not so much a "like", but more of an acknowledgement that I tend to agree with this.

Waney Edge Walnut and other slabs

Yes, Keighley. Did you have a look in the showroom (by the right hand side of the door)? Bits up there are usually priced and you can wander through at your leisure. Not a huge range though. Have you found a good sawmill around here?

    What cost for European Ash

internet prices, where you can insert whatever dimensions you want, tend to come out very expensive. With a quote of £1400, there has been a misunderstanding somewhere. Even planed and cut to your dimensions that is a huge sum.

Waney Edge Walnut and other slabs

British hardwoods is worth a visit (not sure how open they are at the moment). The website won't show you what they have. But they probably don't have much (if any) wayney walnut. They do get some nice and interesting native timbers in there though. Duffield also get good reports. I haven't...
