Finished an Exterior Oak Table with Hardwax Oil - Help!

Not sure if it'd work but treatex do an exterior oil that's uv resistant.i wonder of a coat or two over the existing would help. Treatex are based in Thame and have always been very helpful, I'd suggest a call would be a good start. Cheers

Spray kit recommendations ( walls and cabinets )

I bought a ANI 160Q from soraygunsdirect who were very helpful - I already had about 130 quids worth of compressor. It works very well for trim, windows, Joinery etc. It won't work for emulsion. So for that, I bought a wagner 350m airless - I haven't used it yet. Looking at the Internet reviews...

Have to be later. Dad's taxi service required ;)

    COP26 progress or same old

Mm, well yes, that's what I would have thought too, but apparently not according to NASA that says there has been a significant net increase according to its MODIS Vegetation Index

    COP26 progress or same old

This is true but given 10s of thousands of years is a mere hiccup in climate terms, it would seem sensible to take into account a wider range of data that's available and doesn't appear to be too contentious to the various waring factions. In that case, you could suggest that the amount of co2...

    COP26 progress or same old

Can't quite see what your point is? The climate, from my recently educated perspective, would appear have always be changing. It's an interesting topic. What isn't remotely interesting is how boorish and pseudo religious some folk can be when attempting to have a reasoned debate about it...

    COP26 progress or same old

I've read heaps and watched videos since coming across this thread. I'm convinced that there is some level of anthropogenic influence on the climate but to what degree is the obvious question. I'm not prepared, right now, to ascribe a level of threat to the planet from co2 that is generally the...

    COP26 progress or same old

I'm not sure that's right. Ball alleged, and looking at information on further contemporary data sources it would appear to be credible, that Mann had manipulated/ignored data in order to present his "hockey stick" in support of a desired narrative. This was brought to a head with the leaking of...

    COP26 progress or same old

Actually, further investigation looks like there is considerable scepticism about 'the climate emergency ', but it doesn' t get much reported by MSM. It also seems that anyone opposing the mainstream message, which now seems to be bordering on religious hysteria, gets cancelled. This can't be...

Mm, so you're suggesting that pretty much the only data that the initial IPCC report was based on and that has subsequently been proven to be fraud, is not important because the conclusions, what, don't need the data anyway? I'm just getting in to this subject, and I'm not a 'denier' (why are we...

    COP26 progress or same old

Er, OK, but at no other time other than since that in living memory (OK, maybe my great granny) has there been any visible relationship between co2 and temperature and if you accept some of the graphs of much longer time periods that I found on the Internet (and so far I don't see anyone...

    COP26 progress or same old

Looking at a graph, admittedly one that goes back a long time, you would be forgiven for thinking that there is absolutely no correlation between temperature and the amount of co2 in the atmosphere. Not exactly in living memory but definitely whilst human kind has been trotting about on the...

Just doing a little own research and it seems we have records of 7000 ppm. In fact it looks like we're almost at historic lows at the moment. Or am I missing something?

    COP26 progress or same old

This is what I can't quite get my head around... How much co2 do we have, how much did we have, and what are we aiming for? Thank you Cheers

    COP26 progress or same old

Thanks for coming back to me Jacob but I don't appear to see what the target figure is for co2 amongst this very useful information?

    COP26 progress or same old

Just wondering...perhaps the experts (those more educated than I) on this forum could enlighten us as to what targets of co2 we're aiming for

    Axminster AT310SPT spiral planer thicknesser

That 1m long one is an aigner item. It was cheaper than the Felder supplied one. I haven't used it on my Felder kf700 saw/spindle but ive just a vague suspicion that the f type fitting is a slightly different height. I can check if you really want to know

    Accurate table saw needed

Have a look at js koubou on YouTube for making a wall mounted panel saw. Commercial ones are not cheap. I have a planer/thicknesser and it's absolutely fine - no snipe. It's a metabo 3 phase (on wheels). Only thing is, it could do with longer planer beds.

    Wadkin BRA help/bits

Ah yes, good plan. I'll also have to construct some dust collection. The little DeWalt you might just see behind this fired a splinter into my eye on the final wafer thin cut of the day; felt the impact! The idea of having a dust port that points straight into the face will have to be sorted...
