I think Paul means that the curve on the upper outside of the bowl and the curve of the bowl bottom inside the gallery should look as if they are part of the same continuous curve ‘passing through’ the gallery wall…and I agree with him.
My old workshop was 10m x 4m and had a small wood burner. Doing some maintenance up near the roof apex I was struck by how warm it was up there.
I arranged a length of 4 inch drainpipe vertically with an old computer fan above it, blowing the warm air down again. The pipe was only about a metre...
I have a Suzuki Vitara and I've just priced (very approximately, admittedly) four wheels and four winter tyres. The total came to almost £900. Does that answer the question?
Not sure about 'should', but logically it does. Every alcoholic must have had a first drink that eventually lead to alcoholism. Fortunately not everyone becomes addicted.
When I had a website I was inundated with emails offering various services to 'improve' it, or the number of visitors to it. No amount of marking as spam or unsubscribing did any good and eventually I logged in to my service provider's (Ionos) email manager where found a way of dumping to spam...
If the OP is a total beginner, then when he does eventually get a lathe he is very unlikely to have the skills needed to turn between ring centres. It was when trying to turn with a ring centre drive that Gerry Stebbings came to invent the Stebcentre by filing teeth around the ring! He told me...

On a similar but different theme, could someone explain exactly what won't is a contraction of? I vaguely remember being told it's 'will not', but how does that contract to won't...and why isn't there a willn't?
It's a great language!
If the drip is from the tap spout, how can you tell which side is leaking? Both sides feed the same spout so either or both could be leaking?
I'm not a plumber and have no skills in that direction. If this is rubbish, be kind!
Tom, that’s unnecessary. In fact I do know what I’m talking about - I have a master’s degree in chemistry and I’ve tried to explain why you are wrong.
You obviously don’t understand the concepts involved and I’m not a good enough teacher to get through to you.
Sorry, but however much you may...
