Post a photo of the last thing you made

Made a small chest as a present for a friend... Dimensions are 20 x 15 and 16.5 high (base 10, lid 6.5) - all in centimetres Was mainly done to test the accuracy of the angle settings on the Bosch track saw, and in the end I created a guide from a piece of 2x4, with one end cut at 10°, and...

    Router bench

Realised I had a 1/4" bit, so rather than drilling with a 6mm (too tight) or 7mm (too loose) drill, I could use the router to plunge the holes needed. Jig time! Basic jig at the start: And a side view: When putting the router on there, I realised I needed a support on the front side as...

    Router bench

Finally a bit more progress (cold and my mental state, caused by the pandemic, doesn't allow for much working, as I know to stay out of the shed with it's sharp tools when not in a good state of mind...) Have attached the latches to fix the top in operational mode: And started making the...

Barn shed design - opinions sought - madness! Talk me out of it!

I'm the wrong person to ask for advice, as I tend to overengineer everything... last foundations for a shed I made were good enough to carry a 3-story steel shed

Looks very familiar... I don't even have a photo of mine that I know of. As far as I remember, it was the final project for a number of years for all matriculants... I know my brother made one as well the year before me. Edit: Just get a new mechanism... they were simply plastic...

Remember using kiaat when making the frame for a wall clock in my last year of school (1984) in SA, lovely wood to work with, and beautiful when combined with a lighter wood for accents!

    Router table project

I used a slightly bowed piece of lumber to ensure a good clamping power in the middle of the top, utilizing the dining table (as I had no bench at that time ;)) I used the 2mm Tufnol Whale sheet, glued on with contact glue, and the top is level and has been stable for the past 3 years.
