    Fence covering

I have nothing of value to add here at all, but I did read the title as 'face covering'. Must have something else on my mind?

    Best jack plane

I am a hand tool only person with minimal tools. What about a secondhand Stanley or record no.4. I have a record 4 and I like it. I also have a sliverline plane that was absolutely rubbish until I turned it into a scrub plane. Now it's actually very handy. I wouldnt recommend a silver line one...

Curated quality minimalist tool list for a beginner woodworker

I'm might be about 2 steps ahead of you in the wood working game. I have a small space, 3x4m which is also my home office and bike shed. I use only.hand tools too. I think that Paul Sellers is my guru, but often watch his stuff at double speed. I really like that he is not a pine snob. A...

Your cheapest honing setup? **buying new only**

Thanks for such a useful long term review. I hope this doesn't count as resurection of a zombie thread... Could anyone suggest an Amazon or eBay link to a UK seller for a set of stones please. I feel very guilty about postage for individual items from China. Yes I know that's where they are made.

Your cheapest honing setup? **buying new only**

Sorry to bring a tread back from the grave but I would love to know how your cheap AliExpress stone has lasted. Would you still recommend it? Had to remove the link to post this

    Summerhouse project...some questions

Personally I think that the foil insulation is as good as a layer of bubble wrap and a bit of tin foil. I will let you imagine how insulating that is. Regarding the floor. Probably not much you can do apart from those interlocking foam tiles.
