Good not too expensive laser level ?

rule#1 don't use a cheap laser level that uses a bubble. The Bosch laser levels are great, but no different than any precision optical level, But you also have to prove them. I used one of them to lay out kitchen uppers, and found it was off by .125" over about 12', which caused problems...

best pound for pound all round router?

Some years ago I decided on an Hitachi M12V, why? I was cutting a lot of raised panels, so a little base deflection meant hours of sanding/scraping to make the divits disappear. so I put a panel-raising bit in it and measured the defelection on the outside...., and the M12V was the best I...

Could i adapt this for dust extraction?

After having seen two fires in our makerspace lasers with in the last two months, I don't think it's prudent to connect it to a dust collector. (that might be connected to other WWing tools) 1st case involved cutting small pieces within letters in Plexi which burst into flames and caused...

Mid range disc sander advice - (or maybe a disc/belt combi?)

want a big cast iron top? use your table saw buy a sanding disc for it., one grit on each side. Inexpensive and versatile Drawback is you're limited in max depth of sanding compared to the dedicated sander,, but probably fits 80+% of you needs. Eric in the colonies!

Cutting groove into door for drop seal

hollow care doors typically have 1"ish solids on the edges, so however you cut the slot in the bottom, yer likely gonna have problems. It's been years since I bought one, but at one point they were available as "reno doors" with more substantial bottom pieces which if you got the details about...
