    I don't believe it!!!

Too early to say how serious this actually is. Seems it could just be scraped data, which is publicly available, but in the form of a database, becomes valuable.

    I don't believe it!!!

I'm never going to find my thicknesser 😭😭

    I don't believe it!!!

For about 2 weeks, I haven't been able to search for specific items on Facebook Marketplace (still looking for an old thicknesser locally). I could browse all and categories, but any search simply returned 'no listings' Coincidentally, this started immediately after I reported a user for an...

    Shop Vac

Just to make sure, I sleep wearing one! , but seriously I think these masks are great. They fit really well. My glasses never steam up, I can wear ear protection as well. They have replaceable filters, which are reasonably priced. I have 4 masks scattered around. One has carbon filters for...

Sometimes pays to be a hoarder

Just very recently. I switched off hoarder mode for a few days and burnt all my 1970's payslips from my first proper job. Also dumped all my work books dating from the 70's , to when I retired. Full of rubbish that wouldn't mean anything to anyone, but when I looked at any page. I immediately...

    Pump voltage

A pressure switch would be the easiest for you, one which gives a switch contact output. . I have a dis-assembled shower pump and it just uses a sliding magnet and a reed switch. The reed switch closes when the magnet slides near. It requires no power. You then use the contact closure to switch...

    Pump voltage

OK the unit is a flow sensor, so the output is a square wave pulse train of variable frequency ( according to one review), which is proportional to the flow rate, so, you will need a small buffer circuit to convert the pulses to a voltage level which would drive a relay. A very basic circuit...

So, do most of you use sketch up for your designs?

Sometimes pays to be a hoarder

That's a bit much them going to backdate all the payments! I'm not organised enough to scan things, If I did, I wouldn't be organised enough to be able to find it on my PC, so I have a box for the documents just another type of random access storage :)

Sometimes pays to be a hoarder

I got an email from Which? saying they were about to take the yearly payment for Which? legal service. I had cancelled it years ago, because the one time I called on it, I got useless advice. I called Which? explained how I had cancelled the legal service years ago. The assistant checked my...

So, do most of you use sketch up for your designs?

My body came with built in 3D software, still running on version 1, I use Notpad (the original version) with Pencil V1. I'm more an 'organic designer, I just make things up as I go along.

    Pump voltage

Do you have a part number for the flow sensor. It could be an analogue output which is proportional to the flow, rather than a flow switch with a 12v/0V output. You need to know the parameters of the sensor output and of the VFD input. I would put an isolating relay between the two for safety...

    electrickery.....

I'm sure I remember Tomorrow's World doing an article about Nuclear Power, saying something like, we could look forward to free power in the future, or was I dreaming?

    Mice and plastic pipes.

After reading all the stuff about mice chewing plastic water pipes, I'm getting paranoid. An old house, it's impossible to seal up every hole where mice could get in. I was horrified today to see a load of mice cr@p in a corner of my workshop. When I mentioned it to my wife, she started...

    Unknown knob

Should be in the joke thread, but......"My husband came down with a bad attack of mushroom knob"......"Oh really? That sounds horrible. Has he seen the doctor?"...."No, it's been really handy at breakfast time."

    Unknown knob

Yes, it looks as if it's been salvaged from a Victorian door. Made in China?

    Halfords 1/4” socket set

I suppose the rest of the body stayed in the car so the legs could make a quick get-away! But seriously, can you believe it!! thieving bar stewards!! I was a gardener in Bradford and spent a summer raking grass on housing estates. One day. I put my rake down to have a cuppa and a guy came out...
