I have the Shimano MW501's . They are supposed to be waterproof, but there's a big hole whee my foot goes in. The water just runs down my legs and into the shoe that way!! I have tried all ways to stop it, but it eventually gets in, then the show fills up with cold water!!.

Very much so and a real art, especially on roof work. I did a bit of lead work when I slated my roof, but fairly basic stuff. I just made my own dresser. I also had a skilled guy put a lead pipe through a valley in another part of the roof, he formed a tube in lead, soldered along the length...

I used to be the same, the wilder/ wetter/steeper better. Crazy bad weather was just a challenge to be taken, now my bits ache when I cycle, especially in cold wet weather....it will come to you as well :) Until then, enjoy it.

An ideal project for a compound mitre saw and air nailer . I think the angles are about 5.8/84.2 degrees in the design. I set up the saw and cut a sample with scrap wood in 10min. Once set up, the others are very easy to do. It's so easy to do this kind of thing with the saw.

So do I. The heavier the better. It started with an anvil, then a bandsaw, and a pillar drill. Before I realised what was happening, I had a planer, then a table saw, now looking for a thicknesser.....hooked!!!

I think it's worth having your bandsaw on a mobile base. It's very easy to make a mobile base 4 wheels and a bit of chipboard or plywood. Cost about £20 for 4 swivel locking wheels.

I think you may be misunderstanding what I was meaning. It probably wasn't clear. What I meant was you can use an under rated PSU( current) to drive a drill, as you say, if you load the drill, the current will increase until you reach the limit of the power source, then the voltage will start...
