    Video editing

On my previous computer running windows XP I had a programme called "Ulead video studio" It was very easy to use where I could capture and import video from my camera or disc. I could then split by scenes which I could drag and drop into a time line and put transitions between the scenes. I now...

[quotDo you get a smell of fumes in the cabin? Worse when stopped at a junction with the fan on?e] No smells at all. If say on a motorway I am doing 60, if I slowly accelerate there is no problem and will go up easily to 90 MPH  but if as I said I try to "floor it" it chokes off. There...

    Problems with Ford C max

I have for some time been travelling to the Midlands each week end (120 miles) to my daughters to help with a refurbish of a house. I have noticed the last few times that if I try to accelerate quickly to overtake or change down and accelerate the engine seems to choke off or run lumpy. This...

    Free table saw

Over the last 18 months I have been helping my daughter and partner to renovate a house. I needed table saw as all the ceilings had to come out and new floors put in and the old timber was sawn up for use in the studding walls. As I live 120 miles from my daughter it was impracticable to lug...

Plastic mirror mounts - a warning!

Hope you didn't look into the broken mirror while standing over it with just a towel over your "pink bits" or you could get 7 years embarrassing bad luck. :D :D :D . Glad you are OK though. Happy New Year Alan.

    Video tape damage

Got it sorted. Thanks everyone for your comments. I decided to open up the VCR and insert a good tape just to see how things worked. Ran it back and forth, played it, ejected it and then was ready to try the damaged one. I manually rewound the tape a little so that when it started to play there...

Thanks for that doorframe. Yes I am going to put it on to a DVD but didn't know whether the damaged section would travel around the pick up heads without further damage. Thanks again Alan.

    Video tape damage

Just been sorting through some E180 video tapes. I found one, a very special one of my grandchildren as they grew up had somehow got chewed up in the recorder. There is about 2 inches that I would like to cut out and then join back together. Is this possible? has anyone done this? and if so how...
