I bought a 2 pads system from Fleabay for restless leg syndrome, works a treat. small and discreet enough to wear anytime under clothing if required and very powerful. Many chemists do their own brands now which make getting spare pads etc a breeze.

I have used kilos of this stuff it is great, easy to mix by weight (postage type scales are best) just reduce the hardener a little in warm weather as if a deep casting it can cause heat cracks. Easy to color to.

If you buy second hand a lathe will generally have a chuck and accessories with it to suit its particular discipline.

its not for wood, its a metal lathe.

I just purchased another chuck and went for the tool post Versa chuck, great selection of jaws as you can get carriers for most major makes and very well engineered and a competitive price. not up to my super precision but not far off.

Contrasting wood is the way forward, cheaper and easier in the long run I suspect.

How did you get on with this problem?

Been using some Lidl hot melt sticks I got recently, whilst ok they do seem to struggle for attaching waste timber as sacrificial faceplates to various timbers. So, can anyone recommend a better quality glue stick or are they much of a muchness?
