Yes the work shop is 8m x 5m so a 5m span, looked into timber but the calculation gave something like a 16" joist so steel would be preferred so not to lose internal roof height. Thanks for all the advice @LJM

Anyone advise how to calculate what size universal beams I require to span 5m roof. These will be sitting on block and brick walls to carry flat (slight pitch) roof. Trying to second guess the builder and get some prices worked out?

It could be the type of resin, polyester can be brittle and needs a negative rake scraper and small cuts to get a decent finish prior to sanding.

Is this adaptable for other makes? How does it work?

I have a small blasting cabinet and a 50l compressor works for me with good quality blasting media (not soda) and I find it great on small metal items, but like every one else the domestic type compressors are very noisy and can only just keep up. Good afvice above from those who have tried it.

As above I have them on all my machines now including a cast iron Kity spindle moulder - all good.

If you need a bigger table area buy a "proper" table saw as safety must be paramount.

Tig brazing I think would be the way forward, not worth the risk to do a bodge, what cost your safety!
