I tend to agree. There is not much wrong with those for the money

    Canal lock gates open day.

The lock gates were still made just up the road in Northwich untill pretty recently. Canals are still busy in Middlewich mikej460 but like you say it’s tourists and people who live on them now predominantly. Do get a few working boats though but no really ‘haulage’ boats

    Ear defenders

I don’t see why not. May aswell buy some AirPods (if you’re on apple) and wear them under pellets. Assuming the signal will go through the defenders

    Ear defenders

Plus another one. These are very good and other than when it’s very hot you can wear them for long periods. The only thing I would say is you can listen to the radio so I may look for some Bluetooth ones at some point

    Mafell P1cc buying advice

Thanks. I have not noticed the engagement issue with the on off button but I have only tried it about 4 times. What I would say though, the on off button is not in the easiest place to use. But overall I would say I’m really pleased with it.

    Mafell P1cc buying advice

I took the plunge and purchased one of these at the weekend from Harrogate show. You can not compare these to other jigsaws. The below picture shows a trial curved cut in air dried oak which is approx 2” 1/4 thick.

Britains best woodworking Makita chop/mitre saw

It could well be but it just looks bigger than a 305mm blade to me but I may be wrong

Britains best woodworking Makita chop/mitre saw

So I’ve been watching Britains best woodworker. The Makita chop/Mitre saw looks enormous. I have googled and looked on tool stores but the maximum size I can see it 305mm with a max depth of cut of 107mm. Is this the saw or is it a new version I can’t yet see as it looks to be massive.

    Garden Gate.

If you intend to paint the gate, prime the tongue and grooves before you put the boards together.

    Is it Morticer or Mortiser?

Cill for me but people argue it’s sill. On the other note definitely Morticer in my world
