I thought I'd answered this already. We hope to focus on: 1. British craftsmanship/design 2. British innovation and resourcefulness in tools and making 3. British native timber 4. British woodworkers 5. British information (forums, books, websites, catalogues etc...) But not at the exclusion of...

And we can all improve. Pieces for beginners are often very useful as confirmation that we are doing things right, and there's always a chance to learn. I agree that joinery is often under-represented in the woodworking media.

I'd like to see that sort of piece, for my own use, and if it's good I'll point readers of British Woodworking towards it too. So keep me posted as to its progress. Thanks Nick

Really sorry about this, Inspector. The magazine is bi-monthly. If I can cover my costs and if advertisers receive enough response from woodworkers (please respond to adverts!), there is a chance of survival and of going monthly at some stage. I am launching this magazine from my own savings...

No I did mean £3.20. You're right, a 10p saving does sound piffling, but it was meant as a gesture and small incentive while trying not to undervalue my product.

Obviously you can buy Gorilla Glue from Brimarc, Rutlands and many others. My favoured brand is Balcotan which you can buy from Melco (01453 833985 or 01260 276997). I've not heard of polyurethane superglue, but certainly would like to know more if such a thing exists.
