    I spend the last hour of my time in the wksp to clean up, put stuff away and sharpen anything that's been used. I can't help it, having everything in good to go condition as soon as you walk in the door was drummed into me by too many old soak sgts and cpls.

    the slats on mine are 2"x1" the centre rail us 3"x11/2" set on edge into mortices in the head and foot rests with 2 small 1 1/2" small leg posts a 1/3 of the way in. The sides of the bed are 4" deep and 2" thick. The head and footer have varying thickness as it is ornately carved. Will put up...

    cheap ones tend to take a lot longer to have any effect. Probably to do with output power

    They are a very useful thing to have around for sorting out small parts in tool restorations etc. Just try to get one with the biggest tray you can for the added flexibility it gives. The cheapie ones on Aliexpress are pretty pants and very small. Mine cost around 130 quid when I got it 4 years...
