    5-10% carnuba by weight to beeswax depending on how hardwearing you want it and per kilo of B/wax 30ml of turpentine and also a couple of drops of orange or lemon oil for a nice subtle whiff.

    If you want to have the more golden colour then you need to use an oil based varnish. The polymers in the oil are what refracts the light to give the golden colour. So any oil rather than water based polyurethene will do

    They will your machine is the same as mine (Triton) just a different colour. If they are a little shorter or longer remember you can trim them and the bobbins go up and down and don't use the full length of the drum during the stroke

    plates aren't particularly pitted so will clean up well and will take a novice around 2 hours to retooth and set them all. Handles just need a good sand and then either oiled or varnished depending on your proclivity for such. Well worth the effort

    If taking the floor up and relaying is not an option then you could try caulking the gaps with hemp or jute as they did with planking on boats. There will be several vids on the tube about how to do this. Though I wouldnt go as far as using tar on the hemp but certainly stuffing the gaps with it...

    as above though you could pretend it is a boat deck and caulk it the traditional way not with silicon sealer

    punches are traditionally self made. just use different size pipes which you file to have the cutting bevel on the inside and bash about to give non symetric shapes with soft curves which help conceal the actual join in the repair.
