    Garage door design

That second picture of a plain old t and g door looks so bland compared to the earlier one. Don't glue the t and g, it'll need room to move Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Did you think it took a little bit of covering ? Like atleast a few good coats before it covered the primer ? That was a light green so perhaps a darker colour would cover quicker ? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    DAB Site Radio

With the greatest of respect, calm down dear. Did you not see the"lol" on the end ?Something made for a domestic household wouldn't be as durable as something designed for site use, which is what he was asking about. I won't comment on this anymore. Jee wizz Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    DAB Site Radio

I haven't got the makita dab radio but I've got the normal makita site radio. I've also got the dedicated makita Bluetooth speaker for home. That thing is banging !! If the dab is anything like the rest of their audio products, it'll be a decent piece of kit. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Aluminium primer is my go to primer as well Doug. I've found dulux to be the best stuff after trying several others. Slightly off topic but here's what dulux recommended to go with the ally primer. I've only used F & B on an interior project and vowed to never use the stuff again. Sent from...

    Garage door design

Those hinges would probably cost a premium cause they've got rounded corners designed so they can be fitted straight from a router jig. They've also got the built in security pins which add to the cost. Normally I allow £7 a pair for 4 inch stainless hinges (but buy in large quantities) and...

    My First Box

That's a beaut ! The panel/lid looks good as well. Smart job. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Garage door design

I'd mortise and tenon each part together. Another thing you may want to consider is whether you groove the panels in or have them fit into a rebate that's held in with beads. Which ever way you choose I'd paint the grooves/rebates and the edges of the panels a few times so it's got some...

    Garage door design

I use sapele for most external stuff that's gonna be painted. I wouldn't recommend cedar for painting as it's so soft that it wouldn't take much impact to crumble it and ruin any painted finish. It's generally used if you want it to weather naturally to a silvery grey. Douglas fir would be a...

    Media player?

Thanks for that, I'll take a look on the website and see if I can find any more apps. When I have friends over we share playing music through a fairly good Bluetooth speaker. Connecting via WiFi to the hifi would be better though. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Media player?

How are you casting to the chromecast audio? I bought one last week and had it connected to the hifi which in turn has speakers in each room. I thought it was fairly limited as im under the impression it will only play music from my phone if it's been uploaded or bought from Google play. I was...

    Anyone taped internal OSB joints?

Paintable silicone if you're not happy with caulk. Or buy a bearing guided biscuit joint cutter and glue a tongue in between each board. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Workshop from scaffold boards..

It'll be very quick to put a strong rigid and nice looking shed. That's only half the battle though. The other half is building it in a way to keep the heat in, but the condensation and damp out. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Edit- This thread by Mike G is well worth a read...

    Workshop from scaffold boards..

I bought a second hand shed with really small framework. I turned it into a good comfy shed. Here's how. Working from the inside a shed would have Osb or similar boarding on the inside Studwork with insulation in between Breathable fabric Minimum 20 battens on the front of that Then your...

    Workshop from scaffold boards..

Welcome to the forum Dom. You'll have a decent work area with an off the shelf secondhand shed. You can tart it up a bit when funds allow. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
