    Makita 18v orbital sander

Did you play about with the 3 speed settings? The thing that surprised me was how much dust it collected in the bag- must be doing a half decent job. Glad it's to your liking. The makita 18v range keeps on growing ! Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Help with external door/gate

It absolutely does need to weather and gray first. I made some raised beds from pressure treated timber. The posts were 4 inch square and I took a punt and thought I'm sure the bedec will be fine on the new treated timber. It was completely fine but after a few months started peeling off...

Is this joint strong enough to prevent racking on it's own?

One of the perks of having a haunch between the two tenons is you dont have a straight through joint. If for example the double tenon arrangement was a bottom rail on a door, any slight movement of the joint would in theory allow water to go straight through. The part between the tenons at the...

    Router bit ****.

Appleby woodturning are the absolute masters of dealing with these. They have knowledge, experience and deliver the goods most of the time. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Is this joint strong enough to prevent racking on it's own?

Absolutely! You could make it even stronger by reducing the size of the outer haunch (increasing tenon/glue area) and also adding a stubby tenon/haunch between the two long tenons.

    The Value of tools

I consider this forum a tool to some extent. Back in the day 10+ years ago when I joined everytime i wanted to upload a picture, it would have had to have been via photobucket or some other 3rd party website. Now I use my mobile it's as quick as Take a pic and insert into a thread. That level...

What do you use compressed air blower in your workshop for?

I'd recommend fitting a regulator near your air blower. This was the smallest inline one I could find and cost about a fiver Even though the trigger varies the amount of airflow by how much its pressed i still found i would always blow stuff everywhere just because.......just because I enjoyed...

Making a casement window (single glazed)

Glad you found it interesting. The jig idea came many years ago from trends similar offering for router table setup. Only have to make one once but it does make setting up so much quicker/easier. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Inflatable tent as Spray Booth?

This was a recent pic from site 3m square pops up and has velcro sides with windows and zipped doors. I originally bought it to contain shotblasting. It contained it but I couldn't see after a few minutes of it flying around. Might be better with spraying though...? Sent from my SM-G960F using...

    My new tropical aquarium setup.

Thanks Bob, my only one other question (for now.....) is how long should tank lighting be on for the plants to stand the best chance of growing nice green and healthy. I've had an electronic timer ready to go for months but have never got around to setting it up. At the moment it gets switched...

Those kitchens just look on point ! I particularly like the rounded corner ones. The only thing that could trump it is a photo of Bobs dog looking festive next to one of them. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk Just saw this Happy days !! Merry Christmas all !!
