    Shelf drilling jig

I use a reasonably thick piece of mdf. 18 or 25mm. Use a lip and spur bit to drill the carcases. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Wolf Grinder Full Restoration

I find circulating fresh air really helps with paint drying issues. I do like the look of old machines, they have a certain character about them. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Finer Joinery & Cabinet Making

I wasn't aware my post had become a sticky and have only realised it had been moved to a new section. I'm running on empty this week. Mother was taken to hospital and I've been looking after my niece and her vast array of pets since, I've only had a quick read through of this thread and agree...

Mechanical Pencil suggestion for marking out?

I suggested a pencil and someone else added it was a good piece of kit. You completely ignored both suggestions ! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Silverline Router Bits - Ok , or waste of time?

This reminds me of how my parents use to argue. This was my upbringing. Now they're apart it's easier deal with- part of mothers day present Life's too short, time is precious Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Silverline Router Bits - Ok , or waste of time?

I had a small bit of flush trimming to do. It was on really horrible osb board. I didn't want to risk my trend cutter, so bought a silverline one for £3. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it leave a decent finish, it also seemed to hold a decent edge for the entire job. Sent from my...

Mechanical Pencil suggestion for marking out?

Pentel graph gear 1000. Around £10 on ebay. Best mechanical pencil I've ever used. It's retractable as well, so the delicate tip stays out of harms way. I've lost count how many times its fallen out of my pocket onto the concrete floor. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    The Dog House.

That's a very smart looking shed!!! You must be well chuffed. I like the contrasting colours on the window surround and corners- nice touch. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Door Leading Edge 3-degree Undercut Bit

There isn't one on tapatalk Mike (that I know of) and I wouldn't want to miss out on all the decent stuff you share and post about anyway. I know how they must feel when they get an abrupt response from you. The dressing down you gave me made any of my comments feel completely worthless. It...

Door Leading Edge 3-degree Undercut Bit

Mike you were exactly the same way with me when I first joined here. You made such an impact I almost ended up leaving cause you spoke to me in such a horrible manner. First impressions mean a lot ! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Door Leading Edge 3-degree Undercut Bit

I'm shaking my head Mike at your attitude to relative newcomers. There's no need for it. I'm sure you can word things differently so you don't come across as an arrogant bafoon ! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Door Leading Edge 3-degree Undercut Bit

Hello Jim. It's always something I looked at getting. These were part of a job that made me research it a little more- note the pile of casements stacked up on my bench I had around 70 windows and doors to hang and thought one of those cutters would speed things up. In the end I thought I'd...

Filler/putty made from oak dust and Titebond 3 - Dries dark?

You could make some delicate wedges with a very narrow taper. Make sure you get the grain to match the horizontal pieces of wood. Tap those in with a dab of glue on the end and it'll look much better than dark glue spots. If you got a bandsaw making the wedges will only take a few minutes. Sent...

    Garage door design

The bottom rail cut is just a rebate with a bevel. The router will form the rebate easy enough. A shoulder plane would form the bevel, or a table saw or skillsaw tipped over to atleast 9 degrees. It depends on what tools you've got. If you've got a shoulder plane you'd be able to make a bevel...

    Garage door design

Yeah that's correct. The right hand side is the out side. This is how I'd make the 2nd pic t &g door. Just remember to allow gaps between each board. At least 1mm, maybe 1.5 if they're over 4 inchs wide. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
