    Spot the oversight

I'll be patient with the rest Roger. Is it a measurement error or the cutters being ground ............oh balls, just pm me please ! I could snuff it tonight and not know the error lol ! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Spot the oversight

I'd do it in one pass with roller feed on the slowest. If you don't do it in one bite you're using a lot of the support. Careful positioning of the roller feed to make the most of what large flat areas you've got left on the timber section. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Edit

    Spot the oversight

Is it anything to do with the depths of the cutters? Were you hoping you could run one mould through then just alter the height on the other mould, not altering the fence at all ? Blown if I can spot anything otherwise ! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Spot the oversight

This is where I ground off the wedges a bit. What I meant was it looks like you were almost the full depth of how deep a euro cutter could go. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Spot the oversight

Looks like it must have been nearly rubbing on the cutterblock- the round not being positioned in the middle of the cutter. I had a mould that was almost at maximum depth capacity before. I ended up having to tiddle with the wedge part using an angle grinder lol. Sent from my SM-G900F using...

Most used thing you have ever made.

My bed, then the next most used thing is a rabbit shaped knife block- still brings a smile when I pull out its ears for snipping things. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    What sandpaper

Sait do good sandpaper. Wasn't too keen or their belts though, they seemed a bit bumpy on the joins. Mirka jepuflex is probably my most used and readily available. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Tea lights

I'm following this with interest. I received this as a Christmas gift. It's an oak star tealight holder. I've got some gone off fireproof varnish if it really needs it ? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Credit where it's due

I used a powerfeed years ago planing 8x8 green oak. It was a godsend,no risk of it bowing the timber ! I suppose if you set the power feed so it's just touching bent wood it might be less prone to just plane it bowed. No different otherwise then just pushing it straight through the thicknesser...

What's your favourite and least favourite part of woodwork?

Worst part is dust. Best part is seeing a finished item appear from a pile of sawn planks Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Making custom spindle moulder cutters

The other thing that slightly concerns me is you can only buy blanks direct from them. If for some reason they chose to increase the price you'd be extremely limited where you could buy them. (I don't think there is any where else. I'm gonna use them for deep moulds now that wouldn't fit...

    Making custom spindle moulder cutters

Armadillo blocks have their place and allow deep moulds not possible with normal euro block type setups. It's quite a large investment though. The number of discs is also something to consider. I must have easily over a hundred now and more often than not need a few extra discs for new cutters...

    Making custom spindle moulder cutters

I use to love the challenge of grinding cutters to match specific moulds. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Recommendations for saw sharpening file please

I'll send them an email. My what I'd call normal flat files have also been used and abused- could be an ideal opportunity to replace them all. Shame they haven't got an online shop with a basket type checkout though. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Recommendations for saw sharpening file please

Thanks chaps. I've had this one in my eBay basket for sometime but couldn't commit to buying it. After having a wooden handled file for years I think I'd prefer to try something different. Thanks again Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Recommendations for saw sharpening file please

I've always sent my tenon saw off for sharpening but fancy having a go myself. Are all saw files the same or is there a particular brand I should be looking out for? My dovetail saw could do with a sharpen as well. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
