    Air hose apater

You could make a 65mm plug from a block of wood and drill a 35mm hole through it for the hose. Ajust sizes to suit a nice fit.

It's not for use in tight corners is it, but I guess it would soon clear the bench top.

Outward opening doors - a cautionary tale

And there was me thinking you had built a cat trap! Would a small block of wood behind the water bar to prevent the bolt engaging work?

Steve's doors - open inwards or outwards !

You normally expect doors in buildings to open in, coal sheds and privies open out, I in! Fwiw the door on my workshop opens out, I had no choice in that and just about every visitor has trouble with it, they don't seem to be able to get out quick enough!

Steve's workshop - Painting the outside walls

Steve you are not building a shed so please do it properly and swing the door in, why does this mean that the space inside is dead? You need this space to use the door whether it opens in or out anyway.

Bit of a reminder this is as far as I concerned still going ahead, Sunday 7th September but it would be really helpful if people intending to come along let me know so I get an idea of numbers. It being a midday thing I am wondering if a BBQ would be in order? Chris.

Plywood grade with knots, figuring etc

I thought you wanted knots? there's no knots there! How about Eucalyptus ply? or even a far eastern plywood.
  16. Chrispy

Plywood grade with knots, figuring etc

Sounds like you don't want Birch plywood! have you tried softwood ply such as Elliotis Pine or Wisa Spruce ply these are more your building/packing grades where surface finish is not so important.

    VAT fraud

On the other hand would you sell your car to a stranger for a piece of paper that may turn out to be rubber, or would you prefer actual spending money.

What ring fence should I buy for my SIP spindle moulder???

Do you actually want a ring fence or would a guide/bearing do the job, I have only used a proper ring fence a few times in 30 years and then I made up from plywood to suit the job in hand.

Joints for stretcher bars for canvases

The best and easiest way for me would be with a tenoner, in two goes as Steve said one for the slot and one for the mitre.
