    i've got the k10 from axminster found it easy to use one hand to use the key and one hand to hold the work not a problem price was good too £119.94 :D

    brown mallee will have to lock out for that i have two red mallee and two coolibar blanks bought on ebay from same seller Glowacki Timbers very expensive even with combined postage but unusual timber jay :D

    Hi I recently made this pen out of corrugata burl (hope i spelt it right) got it from ebay came from australia quite expensive but very attractive grain jay :D :D

    my first egg cup i really didn't know what i was doing used a spindle gouge my second egg cup a bit bigger still didn't know what i was doing but i really had a lot of fun doing it :D both out of beech i got from work (old table legs :D :D )

    Picked up my lathe last night

    hi jambo i bought the £29.95 perform grinder (now an axminster brand) from axminster and made my own sharpening jig they work fine i've had no problems also have the perform chisels they work fine :D

    Hi Devonwoody took me about 2 hrs total yes bought it from craft supplies .co.uk (cheap £3ish) only made pens before but I enjoyed making the bowl more i think i'm hooked is there a cure I hope not :twisted: thanks everyone for the kind words and greetings :D

    hi Steve I have a perform ccsl with an axminster k10 chuck didn't want to spend too much money at first but maybe thinking of a bigger lathe with variable speed and a moveable headstock :D jay

    hi all i'm new to turning and posting :) i made this out of ash and finished with liberon lathe polish and liberon wax stick I would be grateful for any comments I am very pleased :D jay
