    Router advice please....

I'm not a router expert by any stretch but my initial thought was that you may be limited by an 8mm collet\shank. However it does come with a 1\4" collet so should be fine. As a newbie you may find the larger base more stable than the smaller trim routers, it has speed control etc. Just be...

    Digital Readout on Mitre Station

Hi, This is purely an idea at this point but as i'm starting to think about the design for my mitre station and having seen DRO's on a few on Youtube without much detail i thought I would ask if any of you have done it or seen it. I have used them in the distant past on metal lathes and...

    Eurolock cylinders

Another vote for Avocet. Has them in all doors at home and also fitted them for family. A quick annual maintenance with the powdered graphite, never had a problem. A bonus for me is being able to order the locks keyed alike. Cheers, Jon.

Hi all, Below are some pictures of my first workbench in progress. This my first project since finishing my small workshop and first workspace that's not the garden. It's based on many different benches I have seen and will have many uses. Will build the bottom part later. For now it will...

Festool OF1400 EBQ Speed Dial vs Actual

Hi All, Having recently started using the OF1400 and not being sure what dial speed correlates to in RPM I came across these speeds which have been measured with a tachometer. Can't remember where I found it but have put it into a table for reference which may be useful. Cheers, jon.

PVC Floor Tiles - How Flat Is Flat Enough?

I recently laid these in my workshop. The floor would have been perfect but one of my cats jumped off the fence into the freshly poured 125mm slab. Due to the cat entry point not being reachable we had to reflect it as best we could. We ended up with a couple of ripples, lumps and bumps. I...

    Prototype MFT lock dog

Hi As mentioned in the other thread here are the prototype dogs to attach something attached to a base with a tool on it firmly but easily. If anyone would like to print them to try PM me your email address. Cheers, Jon.

I didn't buy a printer to make money...

Going to try something similar. Building my workshop got in the way. Mine are a form of lock dog, enables you to mount a tool to an MFT table on an 18mm base. They tighten to secure it in place. Good luck with yours :)
