    Any Super 8 Film Enthusiasts?

Hi, My partner has just inherited some Super 8 films and we are trying to find out more about them. We have been looking on eBay and the Interwebs but can't find much. We have one which is Charlie Chaplin "The Decorator" and can't find out much at all. Any help or pointers much appreciated...

Stainless Steel Pocket Hole Screws - Fine

Cheers :) UK Workshop told us they (Kreg) don't do them. Having said that I need about 30 max but would buy a bag of 50... 1000 at £172 is a few too many ;) Will have a look through their other items and will email them about a smaller quantity. If anyone here has or uses lots of these and...

Stainless Steel Pocket Hole Screws - Fine

Hi All, Can any of you let me know where I can buy Stainless Steel pocket hole screws to be used in hardwood (Teak) From what I have read and Stu_2's investigations with Workshop Heaven Kreg don't do them in the fine thread. They are for an outside garden table i'm currently restoring and...

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

Agreed, they have some brilliant products but very much under supported in the UK. If my original clamps were to fail we could router 2 more clamping into the front rail and secure to the underside of the Keter tabletop or just drill a couple of holes and use MFT clamps. Jon.

Marks on tape measure - what are they for?

I think they are truss marks (used in the US) for spacing roofing trusses. Jon.

    Cutting Plunge Saw Guide Rails

To be fair I was going to buy a metal cutting blade, seems nobody could cut it on a flowjet or laser, thought about it long and hard and just made slow, shallow cuts with a fine Freud blade :) Came out perfect :) The blade shows no issue whatsoever, been cutting Teak all evening without issue...

    Cutting Plunge Saw Guide Rails

Thanks All, Finally bit the bullet and cut it into 900mm and 700mm with my mitre saw using a fine blade, to be fair the cut was a perfect 90 and actually the cut is better than factory. Jon.

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

That's exactly where I use mine, honestly don't know how I did without it! :) Currently refurbishing and shrinking a 6' Teak garden table to 5' and the MFT on the Keter has been a godsend. I did send 1 bit of table whizzing into Stu_2's garden with the belt sander when it slipped the clamp I...

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

Hi, Here is a pic of the MFT on the Keter: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... e87a5b6fc4 Think Stu_2 may have some better ones. Jon.

    Teak Garden Table Restoration

Thanks, I have already got about 10 hours into it just sanding so not going to risk my hard work with a cheap finish1 :) What brands would you recommend? I'm looking at Liberon for either the Teak Oil or Danish Oil currently the other contender is Osmo Poly X Cheers, Jon.

    DeWalt Abrasives, Belts and Pads

Fairly new to woodworking and my current project is restoring a 6' Teak garden table and 6 reclining chairs. First time using my DeWalt mini belt sander and have been amazed how good the supplied belts are... I have sanded all of the core structure, legs, supports and the outer segments of the...

    Teak Garden Table Restoration

Thanks :) I have a test piece that's going to be replaced to try the Teak Oil and Danish oil on, I was given a large tin of Homebase Teak oil with the table of unknown age... Does it degrade or should I just go and buy a tin of Liberon etc. ? Cheers, Jon.

    Teak Garden Table Restoration

Thanks Robin, I have belt sanded it with a 60 grit, then 80, then 80 with the random orbital and have got rid of 95% of the weathering and grey and got a really nice finish. Would you dilute the first coat of oil? I'm planning on doing 3-5 coats on the bits that will be hard to access...

    router table

Hi Billbo, Try D&M Tools in Twickenham, www.dm-tools.co.uk as they have bought the last of some lines from Trend. Not sure what the plate for the CRT2 looks like, could you not get a local engineering shop to make you one? Trend may even be able to give you the plate plan. Another option may...

    Teak Garden Table Restoration

Hi All, I recently purchased a Teak garden table and 6 reclining chairs which was in need of some (a lot of) TLC. As part of the process i'll be reducing the diameter from 6' to 5' What would you guys recommend to finish the table with? I have pretty much removed all the weathering and...

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

Having seen both the Festool and Stu_2's version I actually think Stu's is far better quality. I have one of his tops which we fitted to the Keter Bench last weekend. On the test cuts we did both 90 and 45 degrees using bench dogs and parf dogs which I also use the cuts were checked with a...

    Cutting Plunge Saw Guide Rails

No, the Bosch rail track is much narrower. There is a plastic guide you can remove to allow the Bosch to be used on Makita or Festool rails. An 800mm rail is about £60 but to get the rail cut will cost about £10, even if I have to buy an aluminium cutting blade for 1 cut that's only £12...

    Cutting Plunge Saw Guide Rails

Hi All, Have done a search but nothing came up that I could see. I have recently purchased a Bosch plunge saw on here that came with 2 x 1600mm guide rails. Ideally I could do with a shorter rail too as the 1600mm is a little to long as most things I cut are smaller. As I have 2 x 1600mm...

    Books and magazines

Hi, If you have any magazines left I would like to buy one or more depending on other requests, preferably one with a pattern for a novice scroller :) If not any that are available going, just learning at the moment. Cheers, Jon.
