Bora speedhorse v toughbuilt C700 v Axminster own brand saw horses

I haven't tried the others but I've got a pair of the Toughbuilt C700 and I find that they're very solid and quick to put up/take down. I tend to use them in the garden with a couple of 4x2s and an old sheet of 8x4 on top (few screws to secure it to the 2x4s) to make a cutting surface larger...

    Is there a battery/cordless 23G pin nailer?

Or just get a battery adaptor then you can use your existing DeWalt batteries with a Ryobi tool https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RXW5KFP

    Is there a battery/cordless 23G pin nailer?

Makita also do an 18v 23g pin nailer, the DPT353, and DeWalt released the DCN623 earlier this year - again, both are probably more than you want to spend...

    Fancy/better quality household plug...

If I need new plugs for the workshop I tend to buy rubber ones as they can take a decent impact without fracturing... ...but I do have a soft spot for this type, you really appreciate them if you end up having to unplug something with greasy hands or have your hands full (as you can pull a...

    How to make a round-bottomed, round-ended groove - without a router

IAWTP Keeping it cheap, a £40 Katsu router and a core box router bit is the way to go... and once you have a router, even a small one, you find more and more uses for it... ...but sometimes people have an almost masochistic drive to try to do everything by hand

What is this drainage pipe called?

Thanks for the offer @Ttrees but, if I'm going to replace everything, it's probably easiest if I visit my local pumber's merchant with photos (and dimensions where possible) and get them to provide everything I'm going to need

What is this drainage pipe called?

I've looked up pitch fibre pipes and everything says that they were manufactured as rigid tubes, this pipe is flexible and curves around in a bend/loop. The reason for looking for the same stuff is that it's 90mm diameter and other flexible pipes seem to be smaller or larger so I'd need to use...

What is this drainage pipe called?

I want to put in some foundations for a small wall but I have a loop of buried 'flexible' (well it's not rigid anyway) drainage pipe in the way. I can easily resolve this if I buy a longer length of the same pipe which I could route around the area where I want to put in the foundations...

    Routing 20mm dog holes

Having used the CNCpro jig, the tape is used to fine-tune the hole size - this isn't because their jig isn't accurate and you probably wouldn't need the tape if your guide bush and cutter were exactly 30mm/12.7mm respectively. The the aluminium tape plus a few test holes let you decide how...

Dado joint on a router table

It's fairly easy if you make yourself a sled - doesn't have to be as large as the one in the video

Has anyone tried these hose clips for Festool dust extractors?

Sorry but I disagree with this, the majority of my corded tools aren't Festool but I find the clips useful as they'll also take the power cords for things like my sanders, biscuit joiner, router etc. - basically if I connect the extraction hose to a hand tool with a power cord, I tend to clip...

    Sold Bosch GCM 12 GDL

I've had one for several years and it's a great saw. As mentioned, it has a laser cut line indicator but, thanks to another member on here, you can change this (in about 5 mins) to a shadow line. https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/bosch-gcm-12-gdl-replace-laser-with-saw-shadow-line.127312/

Has anyone tried these hose clips for Festool dust extractors?

I got some from the Strawbyte Workshop and they work fine - they make different sizes to fit a variety of hoses https://www.strawbyte.com/merchandise?category=Dust+%26+Vacuum I've also got their waste-side jig which is cheap and works well

Moving to Brazil: selling up or using a portable power station?

I thought that the vast majority of 50Hz equipment will work fine on a 60Hz supply - it's 60Hz equipment on a 50Hz supply that can be more problematic... Definitely worth an email to each manufacturers support people to ask the question
