    NAIL GUN

That Stanley one is rated at 97dB - which, to me, translates as 'effing loud'...

    NAIL GUN

I just thought that, if I buy a compressor, a blow gun would be useful to help shift sawdust from places that I can't reach with a brush....

Guide Rail for Worx Circular saw

As it's a circular saw, why not just make yourself a sawboard out of some ply. Once made you just line up the edge of the sawboard on your cut line, clamp the sawboard and make your cut - just like you would with a tracksaw I'd explain how to make one (it's very easy), but it's all been done...

    NAIL GUN

@clogs - I'll look at the LIDL ones, but if I go for a compressor it will need to be quite quiet to avoid upsetting the neighbours, the Hyundai one I linked to above is only 60dB

    NAIL GUN

So something like this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07TJQZLSF I presume all I'd need then is the air line and nail gun - and possibly a blow-off gun (whatever they're called) Sorry for the questions - I've never really looked at air tools before so it's all a bit new

    NAIL GUN

Don't want to usurp the original thread but can you recommend a decent compressor - can't be too large as I don't have the space

But they're both air guns as well...

    NAIL GUN

Aren't the Fasco guns air powered? The OP wanted a cordless nailer - didn't specify if he preferred gas cell or battery though. I've been looking for the same and the Ryobi Airstrike 16G looks OK for DIY use

    Finally built a fold-down MFT

@custard you got me thinking and, if/when I get the right side fence, it looks like it might be possible to do something that will work It would rely on using the Benchdogs Track Dogs when using the right-hand fence as they move the cut line over so rather than going through the centre a column...

    Finally built a fold-down MFT

Thanks for the heads-up (y) I don't have the right hand fence - I guess that should be qualified with 'at the moment' If I end up with it, there are dog holes under the sacrificial strip so I could bring the relevant one up through the strip with a flush trim router bit and put in...

    Finally built a fold-down MFT

The idea of a fold down bench is that you can use the space for other things when it's not needed - when mine is down I have enough space to move around it and the fixed bench on the opposite side but I couldn't have it down all the time as I'd have no space for anything else. I have a...

    Finally built a fold-down MFT

I just wanted to take a photo of the setup so in the photos the track is just plonked on top of the the ply - normally I'd either have it butted up against a couple of dogs or use the track dogs With either in use the track is at right angles to the fence

    Finally built a fold-down MFT

As I've a relatively small workshop - the main section is approx. 2.5m by 3.5m - space has always been at a premium and I've had to ensure that everything is stored neatly and put back in place at the end of a session or it would quickly turn into chaos. In my latest effort to make best use of...

shadow line on bosch mitre saw

I received mine in the post this morning and fitted it at lunchtime. The power wires are routed securely in the path used for the original laser module and the LED is actually slightly larger than the aperture that it shines through. Assuming the shroud that covers the laser (now the LED) is...
