    Handmade: Britain's Best Woodworker

Agreed. I’d much rather a flawed woodworking show than no woodworking show at all. Flawed or not, Forged in Fire encouraged my daughter and I to find other resources (more serious, to keep the grumpier among you happy) and ultimately to try blacksmithing. Surely that’s a good thing?

    I don't believe it!!!

Oh dear. I think I’m tapping out of this one.

    I don't believe it!!!

I have and I still don’t see your point. It’s a state I’m growing used to though.

    I don't believe it!!!

The Covid vaccine is a vaccine. In what way do you suggest it isn’t? If you’re flogging the whole ‘vaccines should be 100% effective’ schtick as described in the link below, what’s the point in it? Vaccines have always not been 100% effective but that doesn’t stop them working (if everyone is...

    I don't believe it!!!

With respect, that doesn’t sound like you’re looking at very robust fact checkers. Out of interest Greg what sources are you basing your opinions on? You seem very sure of your take on things but other than posting one link to something that wasn’t about Covid you’ve not given anything other...

    I don't believe it!!!

Also, by your rationale Dettol are in on it as their label has said ‘kills human coronavirus’ for long before the current pandemic (because it kills the common cold virus) Covid is a coronavirus but all coronaviruses are not Covid. Perhaps your research skills need work?

    I don't believe it!!!

Again I’m a little unclear about all your points but: Flu jabs aren’t always on the money, it’s a best guess each year shuck strain will be dominant that year. Do they save lots of lives? Damn right. Autism is not caused by MMR. You are making a very common error of seeing correlation as...

    I don't believe it!!!

You’re not very friendly are you dear? I was asking a polite question. I haven’t mentioned anything about data leaks etc. I was talking about misinformation (esp around vaccines of which many of those books are and as I said have led to unnecessary deaths due to parents not letting their kids...

    I don't believe it!!!

Your post hasn’t been altered so still can’t really understand it. You quoted mine twice though so perhaps intended to quote your own and amend? I’ve had a look at your patent link. What’s the relevance?

    I don't believe it!!!

I’m sorry but I genuinely can’t understand most of your post?

    I don't believe it!!!

Maybe the latter was via a social medium? I’ll get my coat. 😀

    I don't believe it!!!

So true. The cries of ‘I’ve done my own research’ that actually mean ‘I’m ignoring the evidence of people who have spent their lives doing professional research in relevant areas like epidemiology and virology and have instead spent 2 hours watching some wingnut on YouTube whose doctorate is in...

    I don't believe it!!!

Now there’s a pile of books only worth sticking in a wood burner. Lots of children needlessly dead thanks to at least one of the authors. (Wakefield)

    Halfords 1/4” socket set

Funnily enough just bought one of those as a housewarming present (more useful than a plant, right?) for my nephew. Was going to get a screwdriver set, then saw that which will do for screws and bolts. Lifetime warranty means a lot. Like Leathermans, they may (arguably) not be the very best...

    Alcove project finished

Thanks. It certainly is satisfying. Carcasses were ok but once I moved onto all the visible bits, every time I made a cut was stressful as I only had enough 22mm to have one go at each element.

    Alcove project finished

Thought I would post my recent project partly to say thanks to the forum for all the info I’ve had from searches over the past few months. I’m a moderately confident DIY-er but have never really ‘made’ anything before, but the combination of partner being desperate for alcove organisation but...

    Increase loft space

In one of mine I got a lot of space by attaching Spur shelving to the walls either end of the loft. Made sturdy shelves with cardboard boxes to fit and moved all light, bulky bits out of the house up to there. Of course, you could just think a little differently and get a spade* and start...
