A new motor from Tool France will cost £360 with VAT and postage, I just had this quote yesterday, I am having problems too, Jet 16-32 Drum-sander if you can't repair it and have to get rid of that motor I would be interested in buying it for parts, as I just need a gear wheel .

I have had a reply from Axminster Tools saying they no longer sell Jet Tools and that I should contact Tool France, which I already have and am waiting for a reply

I have had a reply from Jet in the USA and they wanted the serial number of the machine, to which they said it is not an American machine, but Tool France machine, so I have contacted them this morning, and await their reply

I am trying to drill the metal with a 2mm HSS bit but it is not working, I tried several decent bits Bosch and Draper HSS but nothing is working on this metal, they drill through aluminium okay
