    Hollow mortice chisels

The user guide I looked at stated the machine would handle up to 25mm in softwood, but I will follow the advice of doing a couple of passes with a smaller chisel as it sounds like awfully hard work using the large chisel. I will also be investing in a cross grain chain morticer for large outdoor...

    Hollow mortice chisels

I have just acquired an old Sedgewick Morticer that comes with a small collection of chisels (max 1/2 inch). I would like to get a 16mm for hardwood and a 25mm for softwood. Can anyone recommend where I can purchase good-quality sets?

Hi, Yes, I am afraid it is sold to Alex, subject to me packing it up so he can arrange collection. I will change the topic to show sold.

    Which CNC Router?

I'd go with either ProverXL 4030 v2, as suggested by ScaredyCat above or Foxalien XE-PRO with the linear rail upgrade.

    Sold Overhead Crown Guard

I have a box that will be big enough for the crown. I can bubble wrap and then glad wrap the framework, which I think is the only viable way of shipping it without involving a pallet. How does that sound?

    Sold Overhead Crown Guard

It is pretty bulky. I could break it down into smaller parts but I won't have a box large enough to put it into. Let me take a look at it tomorrow to see how viable it would be. If I can find a box big enough to protect the crown then we may be in business.

Advice needed for wiring a segmented lighthouse lamp

I’m not sure if that will work. If I remember back in my school days I was told electricity will always take the path of least resistance but don’t quote me on that as I may be completely wrong.

Table Saw w/ability to take a dado stack.

I have a Laguna F3 with dado stack. I also invested in a crown guard, which is a must if you want to cut Dado's on a table saw.

    The end of fluorescent lighting

I just upgraded my workshop to LED and my gosh.... what a difference. It must be at least 50% brighter and a much nicer cooler light temperature. I should have done so long ago. Good riddance to those fluorescent tubes.

For Sale Felder AF14 dust extractor +Fine Filter Cartridge +Manuel Cartridge Cleaner. New

Is that for the exact same model and make? There are plenty of cheaper alternatives in the UK but this particular model is approaching the upper end quality-wise.

    Laserpro Spirit SI

I have a Laserpro in storage in France. Illustrator or Corel Draw are both good options once you have set up the print driver. Good machines albeit that mine is a little underpowered.

I always go Titebond 3 for cutting boards. Never had any issues

    Laser Cutters

5mm should be no problem. Use air assist if you have it and try a few passes on a lower setting for a better result.

    Festool CTLSYS/Domino DF500 issues

Have you got a spare Festool cable you can swap out for the domino? I would try that first.

    Festool Domino DF700

The bigger problem with the 700 is it’s size. It’s a little unwieldy for those smaller jobs. Regarding using biscuits instead I suppose that would depend on the context of the job itself. Is you just need help with alignment then biscuits will be fine but if you are looking for a strong joint...
