    CNC rpm & feed

I would draw a circle a couple of mm larger than the disk and use an area clearance toolpath to machine the disk Depending on the software you have you may have an option to take liner passes along X or you may have an option for a spiral tool path starting on the outside and working into the...

    CNC rpm & feed

Wow nice table very impressive I use Carveco Maker, I come from an autocad background and managed to get a subscription deal on maker. It does have its niggles, I have tried demo versions of most of what's out there and I will most likely change in the future, but its finding a gap in the...

    Simple finish.

Looks good. I would sand to 240 spray with water to raise the grain sand 240 again dust off with a vacuum and apply 3 or 4 coats of danish oil very thinly and leave 24 hours between each coat, you could then add a light coat of beeswax and buff up.

Tree removal, which type of drill?

If you have the hole started and are prepared to sacrifice your auger bit grind off the screw point spur or blunt the screw thread You will then have to push the auger rather than it dragging its self in If the hole isn't started then drill a pilot hole with a 6mm jobbers drill, blunt the screw...

    Mitre saw blade - replacement

I have a Bosch with the same size blade, I only buy Freud Blades for that and all my other saws, I always have mine sharpened by my local sharpener before use, they seem to cut a lot better, The only exception is for a an 8" sliding mitre saw I use cheap trend blades if I am doing a job with...

    Importing and customs

The charges often depend on the items or rather the items stated on the paperwork. It has got harder since Brexit, prior to that we used to bring stuff in from Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, USA & Canada Experience shows that components rather than actual consumer items tend to attract less...

    Forstner Drill Bits

I tend to use saw tooth for end grain and wave for side grain There is a big difference in quality depending on price, from experience the cheap ones are ok in soft wood but as soon as you are heading for hard wood then you will need to spend the cash I also tend to shorten the point on them a...
