And another what is this tools called/used for post?

Just measured a gnats under 1/4" and tried cautiously to unscrew but it doesn't looks more a "push" fit akin to a file and handle

    Mortaring, but upside down?!

Google for a brick mortar gun - Screwfix sell them as well - a mix of mortar not to thick and not too runny then you can squeeze mortar out at any angle and it should stick into the crack (as its not a heavy mass) then 30 mins later perhaps run a spoon handle or something smooth and gentle along...

And another what is this tools called/used for post?

Good afternoon folks Well I invested a couple of pounds at my local knick knack emporium in this thing, just because it feels nice and if I knew what it was I could use it purposefully! Boxwood handle overall about 6" long with the steel part sort of screwdriver shaped, yes with a little work it...

Yes my father had one and I must have inherited it but it's got lost somewhere along the line. Only had a 5/16th chuck from memory

    Patio slab joint mortar

Will the dry mix approach work on crazy paving with much wider gaps as I've got a good lot to sort out at home. I need to get rid of the holes and trip hazards between the uneven crazy paving. Might be Yorkshire stone (not tea) Been down I would guess some 50 years

    Preventing cracking in new blanks

I suspect there are as many methods of end sealing timber as there of sharpening chisels, but I was accidently came across (the assertion) that emulsion paint 2 coats is pretty good and stops cracking/splits. What say ye?

    Woodturning Woodworking Magazines

I am doing a bit of tidying - and have rediscovered a large pile of woodturning woodworking and suchlike magazines that I have given/accumulated/bought with things over the years a mix (not every edition) from 1980's. Is anyone interested here before I sort them into whatever amount/years and...

    Decking sanding

I haven't sanded but wonder why you want to. If its a general clean-up before recoating (with something) I would give it a good scrub with a hard bristle deck scrubbing brush (google will find them) will get the rubbish out.

Home Made Compressor, Would you buy it

If I were closer to Skegness I would consider buying it to save someone's life! Then dismantling and then taking everything to scrap metal recycling so it cant be rebuilt

    Jacobs chuck key

I had this problem once with a drill chuck key, I ended up taking the chuck into a shop selling chucks keys and after a minute or two found the one I needed, so perhaps try that - saves guesswork.+

    Bench grinder/linisher

So while idly looking at lathes and stuff on bay the other day I noticed (and subsequently was outbid) someone selling parts off a dead lathe, was nearby - I noticed he was also selling a little used bench grinder £5 start price and although I don't really need another one it was smallish and...

    Workshop flooring

If your floor is pretty good then consider used carpet tiles from the bay, they are usually ex offices and come in various grades so if you don't mind coffee spills and wear and not fussy about colour or pattern they are pretty good for this task. Spray glue them down and they do the job, don't...

    Tormek honing wheel

Any chance of a photo please? If the leather is missing I would try gluing a leather strip around the wheel using a 45 degree butt joint where the edges meet. Charity shop for a thin belt would do doesn't need to be over chunky. If it fails then bay will have someone selling a leather whetstone...

How do I remove this bearing

I have taken similar tasks to my local 1 man (maybe 2) garage who have a selection of pullers and have easily removed bearings £5.

    Axminster Mini Lathe.

I'm not qualified to give a definite answer but I would think that trying the one with a replacement capacitor should be safe as that could be part of the power supply circuit, the size/capacity might give a clue if it is. Likewise the pwm adjusts speed so if the replacement is not exact like...

    Stanley bailey no 4 spares

What make is it? Might be worth looking at bay and buying a donor plane and use the handles ironwork and whatever is good from your one to keep the spirit of the original plane alive if there is the sentimental requirement
