    What best should I do with wood from a large holly tree

    Its about 8 inches diameter straight and growing well - its coming down with some fir trees and a hazel as an area is being cleared. I'm sure the tree surgeons will cut some rounds or rounds cut in half if I ask.

I still think a reciprocating saw held parallel to the fence (cutting down and then sideways) will get the bulk cut away and the rest you can see whats what at that time. Perhaps you might be able to cover it back with soil and just let it rot away by itself after...
