Is this where tools are built down to a price point for certain vendors?

    18v tool brand choice

Thanks for all the replies, I had assumed it might come down to personal preference in the end. The 5Ah comments are very good points I perhaps didn't consider. Weight wise etc. Sounds like 2 and 3Ah might be the sweet spots for the DIY guy like myself, where I don't need them to run all day...

    18v tool brand choice

Hi all, I'd like an impact driver and combi drill. I currently have a Bosch professional 18v combi drill. Bought about 6 or 7 years ago with 2x2Ah batteries. However I've noticed how expensive additional bare bones tools cost compared to say Dewalt branded tools. I guess the main question...

    Worktop - oak

    Worktop - oak

As I say it's not quite finished, but as far as worktops I am. The main joint pictured was the worst one, regular dog bolts were too slow to close before the titebond has set (pretty fast to be fair), it was awkward access, wish I had zip bolts for that one. But the other 2 were decent. Will...

Hi all, Thought I would update you all on this thread. Appreciate it was a few months ago now, but life is busy with a 3yr old and a house renovation/full time job, so progress has been slow! I appreciate all of your replies, I took them all into account, watched countless videos and read...

    Worktop - oak

Appreciate all of your replies, exactly what I was looking for, thank you. I plan to leave 3 to 4mm gap all around the edges, and have read about leaving fixings with some wiggle room. I.e larger holes through cabinets, or slotted holes in brackets. So that's good to have that confirmed. So to...

    Worktop - oak

Hi all My first post here, I am looking for a advice on a few things if I may pick your collective brains. I am fitting a new kitchen/utility and my next job is to fit 40mm oak worktops supplied by diy-kitchens. I haven't unwrapped them yet, but I assume they are finished to approx 150grit as...
