    Rats in a trap...

Kentucky fried rear legs of grey squirrel is absolutely delicious! I shoot all of them I can, the little blighters do a lot of damage to trees and nesting birds. I dragged one out a nest box that a squirrel had set up home in once, by chewing the entrance hole a lot bigger (the squirrel did...

    EBay info

Have a chat with consumer direct / citizens' advice or whatever they call themselves these days. They will be more help than ebay in this situation and will be able to tell you your rights under the distance selling regulations, which I'm guessing would apply here, even if it's a private sale.

For Sale Ftagh early glass panes.

Ca you still get horticultural glass? Last time I had to replace some in the greenhouse, I was told it had been discontinued and we had to shell out for toughened. Of course, that may just have been a load of BS to get us buying the more expensive stuff...

    Steam Bending

Ah! Now I was always told that it was best to have fairly green wood for steam bending as it's got a head start on being pliable. The little I've done was always with green wood and seemed to work fine, with the orientation of the grain not making any difference. I suspect it's one of those...

Royal Mail - complete ban on bladed items from 22nd April

Running a small online business in a rural location, the only people who will collect from my address are Royal Mail. I do have a bone or two to pick with them, but they deliver reliably in my experience. Glad I don't sell any blades though - I can image that someone in a similar situation as...

    Identify tool

Webbing stretchers. A loop of webbing is pulled through the slot, the pin is put in to stop the loop pulling through and then leverage applied with the tool with one hand, while tacks are driven with the other. (I think!)

    Roof insulation

Whatever you use, just make sure it doesn't lift the felt to be in contact with the battens between the rafters - the felt needs to sag to allow any water that gets in through broken slates or whatever to run away without being directed towards the rafters, where it would eventually sit behind...

It is - pronounced *** with me too, but always spelt @RSE. For some reason, I now find *** objectionable, I think because it's just another americanism these days.

Has anybody tried a trend t8 router yet? + trend t8 vs triton tra001

It would seem like the makers of Router Raizer are no more - their website was last updated in 2005, none of their list of stockists (including US and Canada) now have them and having spoken to WWW it sounds like they went down the pan before covid. Damned shame, it looked like a good product...

    3m flat roof span with 44 × 95 joists

Every two foot sounds a bit extreme - 2 metres I could understand. I got mine from a firm called Cladco, who are only just down the road from me but I'm pretty sure they deliver nationwide. The sheets I have on my roofs are 50 mm thick, supported at just over 2 meters, but I get up and walk...
