    Electric vehicles

Interestingly, we had to summon an emergency ambulance to our place on Friday night, for my Mum. We live in rural Cornwall and share a postcode with about a dozen other properties spread over about a mile of road. The ambulance crew did not know the area, but came direct to our house, with no...

    Electric vehicles

I think the general point is that it's a bit daft to replace the ICE SUV's that fill the roads, with EV SUV's that fill the roads, much better to go for smaller cars in general and to get away from the idea that bigger is necessarily better...

    Refurbing chisels

I always have similar "bevelled corners" on my straight carving chisels - helps when I'm doing lettering as they can get further into tight corners if that makes sense? Maybe the thinking was similar for these? Nice job, by the way!

Bosch Shredder - Last chance saloon?

I have something very similar with a "Mowerland" badge on it. Had it 20-odd years and it gets a serious amount of use, still going strong. Paid about £120 for it from ebay and it's paid for itself time and again. Branches get cleaned with a bill hook and anything bigger than 1" is brilliant...

Some hot and sunny, some hot and wet, with some wind thrown in for good measure. Turned out to be a much better summer than I expected for bees and veg - so far...

    Joke Thread 5

How about we leave the politics out of this joke thread and someone start a political joke thread where we can all say whatever it is we want to say on the satire front and leave this thread to the non-political humour? Just a thought, but it might keep everyone happy...(unlikely I know.)

    Baking

Been doing sourdough for the last 10 years or so - feed the starter the night before, make dough at 8, knock back at 12, bake at 3 (approx) all room temperature - easy! Cheap too, which was the initial attraction for me, the only thing I need to buy is flour in bulk...
