Thanks for posting the core values, saved me the effort and yes, I'm a fully paid up member. There are one or two of their policies I don't agree with -I think meat eating in moderation is OK for example, but if you can say that you agree with all the policies put forward by your chosen party...

    Pricing Box wood for sale

I have quite a bit of Box in the loft of the barn that's been there for the last 13 years or so. If I'm honest with myself, I'll never use all of it so will sell some, (probably most) but haven't a clue how to go about pricing it or how to get the most from it. Some of it is 7" or more...

Could i adapt this for dust extraction?

If you're buying that direct from China, don't forget to factor in the import duties which could add quite a bit to the bill.

Of course it's possible for one person to be the delegate of many... From the Oxford dictionary: noun /ˈdɛlɪɡət/ a person sent or authorized to represent others, in particular an elected representative sent to a conference. "the delegates rejected the proposal"

Well I'd be fine with that if it also listed all the positives along the lines of " lessening the effect of global waming, making it less likely for refugees to land on our shores because their homelands are no long habitable, cutting back on plastic pollution, stopping your homes being washed...

    Carving chisels - starter advice

If you want to learn lettering, have a look at a book called "Lettering in wood" by Chris Pye - it will save you a lot of time and advise really well on which chisels you need to get started.

The New Statesman piece does show the question asked: To what extent, if at all, would you support or oppose the government banning all new oil and gas exploration in the UK? A pretty clear cut question and hard to see any ambiguity.

    Carving chisels - starter advice

Maybe find a local carving course first and find out where your interest lies - carving is a huge domain, what with shallow relief, deep relief, in the round, lettering and all the applications for use on other projects. Once you know what you want to achieve it'll make tool selection easier...

Do you really want to get into this? I'm not sure I've said anywhere that I think we can do without oil - what I do believe is that we should stop opening more wells to provide power directly. I accept that we need a certain amount of petrochemicals to make "stuff", but I also believe that...

Global witness didn't do the survey - they were quoting a survey done by yougov. You are speaking to me now, even if it is through the medium of the internet and I have stated how opposed I am to new oilfields, so that's that argument shot down in flames!

I'm not sure what the statement is ...

While it's a nice design, I think maybe Oak is not the best for a chopping board that's going to get meat juices all over it - the open grain structure is going to make it difficult to keep clean. Beech, Sycamore or Hornbeam would be better (in my opinion...).

For every one of him, you'll find a hundred well qualified people who disagree. I think it makes sense to follow the consensus, even while allowing for other opinions; I think football is a load of b0ll0cks, but it would seem I'm in the tiny minority, so maybe we shouldn't ban it...

I think the public are broadly supportive, it's the old problem of entrenched private interests being in control of the political structures and dictating the way measures are - or more importantly, are not implemented. The recent opening up of new oil fields in the North Sea being a good...
