    Hidden magnets for cabinet doors.

In my experience you need a magnet in the cabinet and the door. The pull between 2 magnets is much stronger than between just 1 magnet and a metal plate. If you do use 2, then cover one with a smear of silicone sealer, which will absorb the shock of a door being slammed. Neodymium magnets are...

But not cheap so they're better value for the money.

    Track saws and thin blades

First off... Clean any old glue and resin from blades.... I soak mine in Turps or similar for a few days. Not only does it cut the friction but you will soon realise that the teeth weren't blunt but actually blunted by the resinous gunk. A good clue for this being the issue is black saw cut...

Converted Hammers for Men In Shed Members with Needs

Trouble is, most disabilities don't fit into to the same tick-box. That's where Polymorph is so useful. The oddest thing I made with Polycaprolactone was a ring to fit on a guy's middle finger.... He could not hold anything and after we had made a cup holder handle thingy he asked for something...

Converted Hammers for Men In Shed Members with Needs

Can I suggest that anyone needing special shaped handles obtain some Polycaprolactone beads. They soften and meld into a plastic mass in hot water and may be squeezed into any shape. When cooled in cold water you end up with a hard plastic which can be drilled, threaded and tinkered with to your...

    Does anyone print onto wood?

Print single or double layer image in white PLA on 3D printer. Such thin prints in PLA can be used for T-shirts as prints and are applied with a hot iron melting the organic plastic into the cloth fibres. Obviously you need a non stick paper between the iron and plastic during the heating phase...

Festool saws, dust extraction, Henry and 100mm....

Actually just another reason to try 3D printing and learn another skill. My printer has become a very useful tool.

Festool saws, dust extraction, Henry and 100mm....

First improvement is to fit a cover into the rectangular cut-out used for access to the blade bolt. They may be bought or 3D printed for pennies. You be could also just put some wide masking tape over the cut-out and at no cost. Stops a lot more 'dustage'.
