Wanted Anyone able (and willing) to 3D print a dust extractor part?

Thanks for all information and pointers as to how get this done. Whilst getting something custom made would be the ideal and was at the forefront of the mind when initially posting, I don't think it is going to be the easiest or fastest solution. So after a bit searching this looks ideal...

Wanted Anyone able (and willing) to 3D print a dust extractor part?

yes very much like that, only the rectangular section needs to narrow down to about 25 to 30 mil wide. Though that may be made to work, least better than what is there is now. Do you have link to who sells them?

Wanted Anyone able (and willing) to 3D print a dust extractor part?

As per the title looking for someone to 3D print a dust extractor shroud for a tablesaw? Would of course pay for materials and your time and postage. I don't have a digital drawing, that would need to be created, but the basic shape; think of 25mm postal box long ways up, which flares out at one...

Correct way to fit frame fixings

Just a note on these fixings, they are very good and relatively cheap compared to say the dewalt version with the blue tip, but they very sensitive to pilot hole size as the threads are not as coarse as other makes. With hard materials the hole can end up slightly over-size, maybe by only half a...

Repaired a Multico tbs350 aka pro-mex bandsaw now need drive belt sizes

It's exceeded expectations, put it that way. Now the belts have been changed, thanks to pointers received above, it will cut 4" beech and 3" oak, which is what I've been cutting on it, and why I wanted to get it working. In that sense it saves having to use the 'flip-and-cut' method with...

    Which Thicknesser

Had a triton tpt125 for about 18mths. Bought it to stop having to move and lift the tables on the other p/t. Very good finish, even on difficult grain if used with light passes., which also helps but doesn't eliminate the inevitable snipe, add 60mm to each end, that soon adds up to a lot of...

What species would be on your shortlist for a slab desk?

maybe that should be 'bearer' at the back edge, unless u know of some friendly grizzlies with time on their paws:D

What species would be on your shortlist for a slab desk?

"torsion box" is a myth, a YTube creation attention grabber, however it's still a valid method of construction whatever it's called. The framework would be a grid inside the outer layers. With a bit thought a 2.4 mtr length of decent angle iron (which is a good suggestion) 50 or 60mm x 3 or 4mm...

What species would be on your shortlist for a slab desk?

54mm would be a good thickness, if using pre veneered mdf have it cut lengthways into two equal widths. The front, already finished in veneer could sandwich another 18mm piece of contrasting soild wood, that could set back a few mil, or reeded or rounded or laser engraved with a favourite quote...

What species would be on your shortlist for a slab desk?

you should be able to get a solid wood kitchen worktop for the budget, not a slab but still solid wood. Or look at mdf as suggested with veneer if you're handy at applying it Iron-on Wood Veneer Sheets, that could be made in torsion box style with a gentle curved lip for the veneer to go over...

Now you're just looking for grief....you've sent multiple messages and the seller hasn't even got back to you wondering where the payment is..or even saying 'pay me then we can arrange delivery' unless you've become emotionally attached to having the green machine, engage ebay and request to...

Buying a machine on eBay sight unseen with pallet delivery

more red flags on that account than a Spanish bull fighting ring on fight night... plus how did he test a 3 phase machine whilst sitting in what looks like a dining room? why move it from a garden workshop inside. options, pay for it, if it doesn't meet description/arrives damaged return it, =...

Hello with my new kity 1637 please

It engages the feed rollers, pull it out and down. Without it there's only the grooved roller feeding the wood through. They're also quite sensitive to variation in thickness hence the 'wedging'.

    Pricing advice

Under-pricing just adds to the perception that items made from wood are 'cheap' (I know some items in wood are expensive but in general the 'public' perceive smaller items to cost peanuts) price along similar line to those on Etsy. They still take about 13% I think. You are still putting the...

Your best (and worst) / most surprising woodworking related purchase this year

As per the title what's been your best purchase in terms of time-saving, value for money this year. Have any surprised as being better made than you thought they would be, so that they've become 'invaluable' and you wonder why it wasn't bought before? Old or new. Same applies to the absolute...

    Track saws and thin blades

No you're going mad it is the heat. They are just not suited to dense material. I was going to buy some thinking they'd save material but was advised against it, it was a table saw and the max depth was recommended at 30mm from a 250mm blade and for hardwood. It's described here in 2011 from an...

    Barn to annex conversion

you are likely find is that part of the wall was built against the bank and is just un-coursed rubble which was dropped into the gap between the coursed inside face and the bank. which is why the original back wall is standing vertical and the floor inside of the barn won't be swimming in water...

Woodwork Bench Build (Using Only Hand Tools) - Progress

If you can work it into the design of your bench I have a 7 foot length of 6x4 inch beech you can have gratis. Ideal for some bench dog holes along the front, if you're putting in a tail-vice? It's rough-sawn and will need planing, if can stand anymore of that! Great work btw, and reminds me to...
