    Aldi Impulse Buy

The only Aldi power tool I have is a shop vac and that works fine, I have a few Lidl tools and some are good and some not so good. The good are the bench mounted disc sander and their belt sander, the not so good are the 12v mini grinder (Dremel type) that works and has worked for years but it...

    Has anyone bought from Temu?

A decision I doubt you will regret

    Has anyone bought from Temu?

Looking at the many on-line reviews they look to be something similar to Wish, if you get your order it probably will not resemble what you thought you were buying or the quality is well below what you were expecting, whatever you get you will WISH you hadn't bothered, just like WISH themselves...

    Inefficient appliance repair.

Like the day I had 9 calls in Essex and London and one call in Yorkshire, I think you can guess which one got dropped that day 🤔

    Inefficient appliance repair.

What's often forgotten is that when you phone to report your fault, the call is taken by a worker in a call centre, they are call handlers not engineers, they just book a repair call on the next available slot, irs not their job to either diagnose your fault or order parts to cover every...

    Gouge Sharpening Jigs

Hi all Looking for recommendations for a turning gouge sharpening system for use with a bench grinder. I have been searching and it seems that the most popular (well popular on YouTube 😉) are the Wolverine Oneway or the Woodcut system, with both costing about the same. Anyone recommend one...

CBM Wheel is this a stupid idea ?

Thanks for all the relies. I ended up getting a bench grinder and seem to be managing just fine with the fitted 8 inch ally oxide wheels, so may give CBM a miss for now and see how the wheels lasts, as I can get 5 ally oxide wheels for the cost of one cbm.

The things your parents said to you...

My Grandmother always said. Look after your knees you will miss them when they are gone. My Grandfather always said. When you have *** always wear a condom, if she will have *** with you she will have had *** with anyone 😏 You could tell which one was in the Navy can't you.

CBM Wheel is this a stupid idea ?

Hi all This is probably a stupid idea so please do tell me so if it is. So I would like to use a CBM wheel to sharpen my turning gouges, but I have a problem, 1st I don't own a bench grinder and 2nd CBM wheels work best on a slow speed grinder and they are not as common. So I started thinking...

    best budget friendly palm router

Another vote for the Katsu from me as well, a nice tool that has handled everything I have thrown at it without even breaking in to a sweat. Both as a hand held and in a small router table. For the price it's a bit of a bargain and it's of a higher construction quality than the Aldi one that...

Blades for a couple of old No4 hand planes?

I use the ones Axminster sell, 3mm thick and about £8 a blade.

    Axminster prices

One thing I have found with Axminster is if buying small items it often works out cheaper buying them from their eBay page than their own website. Although on eBay the items are lightly more expensive they don't charge for postage which they on small orders on their website. So it often works...

Another what is this tool request

The back of the blade looks like it's taken quite a beating over time , probably from a hammer or mallet or something similar so probable from an abotuar or butchers. But probably something completely different.
