    Shipping costs.

If you want a thing that badly you pay over the odds for it. There is a shortage of containers in part because so many are stuck on ships so of course the price of them has gone up.

Ebay 15% off at FFX (and others) up to £60

It's not an FFX coupon its an ebay coupon, and if the price is still cheaper than anywhere else you can get the exact same item unlike DFS, I don't get the issue. Its not like every other retailer raises their prices to make FFX look more enticing.

Ebay 15% off at FFX (and others) up to £60

I did not use this offer to purchase 4 1250mm Bessey Revo clamps and 4x 800mm revo clamps for £406. No sir. £450 on their own website and that or more elsewhere.

Ebay 15% off at FFX (and others) up to £60

Use the code Festive15 at checkout https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Flash/bn_7114592181 As a for instance, this Makita set is £725 on their ebay store but £717 on their normal web store. The £60 saving still gets you £52 off. Do check before you buy and naturally also check that things are not just...

Help - table saw rise and fall isn't working

Did it work before you took it apart or did you take it apart just to ry and get it working? Since it appears to be rotating the gear ok I have to assume some part of the mechanism is binding on something somewhere else preventing it from going any further. If you try and assist the up/down...

    Best Birch plywood supplier???

The pandemic led, oddly, to a) less people able to work on the chopping down and machining of materials as well as a boon in the amount of people sitting at home on their backsides with a bit of extra money and thinking up cool things they'd like to do. That all led to a huge demand spike in the...

Triton TSPS450 450W Oscillating Spindle Sander

Got it, very useful and just wish it went a bit further up and down. I put mine on a flip over cart with a 6" disk/belt sander to save some space. It's sold under about 10 different brands between here and the US and all appear identical with Clarke, Draper and Shleppach all also available in...

Dust extractor... Festool, Makita or other?

I don't have a bt button but just having your tool plugged in to the vac and it powering on really does make life easier.

    Flat bottomed 20mm dia holes.

My 35mm bit isn't the same 35mm as the blum hinges 35mm, naturally. It is also a bit pointy for 18mm boards despite filing some off the tip. In the end I used it on a scrap, used my spindle sander to round the hole to a size that actually fit the blum hinges and then used a router using that...

    Wireless radiator valves.

I have thought about them but not been convinced enough as yet. I know one popular one suddenly changed to a subscription model from being free to use once purchased which understandably put some noses out of joint. Sadly its the way most companies want to go these days to drip you dry.

    Rail square reviews

I think the festool 3m rail only set me back 265 and a kidney earlier this year. As always it only hurt once and i'm glad to have it now and not have to worry about it.

    Dust extractor…

Inspector I only recently found out that you all have 220v already, it's just that to get it you need to use a different breakers that covers both 110v legs. Still not sure why 110v is the default though.

    Rail square reviews

Unless the ordering and collecting is taking a day surely it's going to be faster than manhandling 40kg+ sheets and cutting them yourself. I say this as someone with benchdogs square and parallel guides.

    Dust extractor…

Have you checked the wattage on it? My 2200w extractor (big bag type) will pop 13a fuses for lunch which is why it needs a 16a plug. However my 2000w dual motor cam actually style is fine on a 13a.

    Paul Sellers Router Plane

I'm not sure what you're supposed to do then. Not talk about something that you think is good just in case the prices go up and others choose to pay more for it. becase at the end of the day people are choosing to pay more for these tools. They don't have to.

Do 16 amp plugs/sockets have fuses?

A ring is a loop from a through b to c and back to a. A radial is simply a line from a to b to c, typically with fatter cable. It means when a socket dies it can easily be traced backwards on the line. On a ring you can have one half of it die and not know until you try to run multiple things...

Do 16 amp plugs/sockets have fuses?

I'm assuming here that you are saying that you are trying to use this in an outside building and the feed from the house is only a 2.5mm armoured cable?

    63mm Blast Gates

Nice. I needed a new fan for my table saw motor a year ago so printed one for that.

    63mm Blast Gates

Ahh ok. CAn I ask why you favoured the printer rather than making some from some bits of MDF or something? My printer gets plenty of use so I know the feeling of a satisfying print that just does exactly what you asked of it. Peter, thanks for your reply. I figured it was but honestly I've not...
