Problem with Oneida dust deputy system

Has anything changed that you are aware of? Added a branch, new tool, different vac, different drum? The cyclone relies on particle velocity to work, so maybe there's a blockage in a pipe slowing down the flow. I know that when the cyclone drum is full they become all but useless.

Edge joint, one inch birch ply?

oh this is for a saw horse? I think I'd be laminating at least 2 lengths for both the leg and the foot as a minimum. More likely 3. Are you attempting this out of necessity or just an experiment?

Edge joint, one inch birch ply?

If you have a router and a straight bit you can make a mortice in both for a loose tenon

Edge joint, one inch birch ply?

I'm really sorry Dave, I cannot grasp what you are attempting.

Does Builder need permission to connect new house to sewer on my land?

£10k to us will have been gleefully signed away by a developer for that kind of thing. It's peanuts to them. Wimpy for one example had pre tax profit in 2018 of £810m on the sale of 15,250 homes. £53k profit per house. Persimmon made £66k profit per house in the same year. This is after they...

    Table Saw replacement fence advice

I just wondered Steve, have you embraced the joy of digital downloads? I literally have no way of playing a DVD in my house! I do suggest you cut a promo for each DVD though, just 2 minute to camera talking about what each disk covers.

    Contacting Amazon

They'd have sent them another without even questioning it. On lower priced stuff even if it turns up damaged but useable, they'll just send you a new one and tell you to dispose of the damaged one as you see fit. Other times they'll just offer a refund of some kind or offer to send a new one and...

I’ve heard of inflation but this is ridiculous.

I'm a little surprised Homebase has survived in all honesty. They only jsut got back to profitability in 2019 and then Covid has hit. They mgiht have done ok as everyone has been doing improvements.

    Contacting Amazon

Never had any issue getting refunds or returns from amazon via the chat. In fac tI prefer the chat to talking to them on the phone as I can save a copy of the conversation.

    Plunge/Tracksaw for cutting plywood

I do not envy you doing it as the year rolls on and gets wetter and darker! I was fortunate enough to get the bulk of mine done in the lockdown and got a lovely tan in the process, but the rains since have made it much less fun doing the outside! I'm only going to use hardwood ply for my...

    Table Saw replacement fence advice

I believe that @Steve Maskery has a video on the subject of making your own accurate and affordable from steel angle with the promise of not needing any more metal working skills other than drilling and cutting. It's one that needs purchasing. Needs a little promo trailer for it.

I’ve heard of inflation but this is ridiculous.

Yeah, its the same everywhere at the moment. I've been looking for a new 240v domino for over a month and nobody has any. Apparently it looks like November is when they'll be back in stock.

I’ve heard of inflation but this is ridiculous.

They jsut want danger money for all the snakes, spiders and drop bears they have to deal with in the warehosues

    New table saw? Lumberjack TS1800

Was about to say the same as above. Many think that to get efficient extraction you need a zero clearance and no gaps in the frame to focus the suck, but that just means the extractor is choking as it can't get enough air inside. Strategic holes and an overhead extractor as you've already me...

    Ultex vs Trend Diamond stones

Are you trying to get the entire back flat? With a hollow just get the first bit of the back flat.

    Ultex vs Trend Diamond stones

As in the back of the chisel? Do you have a hump or a hollow? Humps are a pain to remove.

    Ultex vs Trend Diamond stones

Do you have a 300/1000 plate or one of each? If so are they both Ultex? If you can, try snapping a photo of the area you've been working on after a go on the 300 and then again on the 1000, though personally I have one in the middle. The 1000 I have doesn;t requie long on a strop with green...

    Ultex vs Trend Diamond stones

I honestly can't remember the grits on my 3 but I never found an issue. When in use there were definitely marks on the blade where the coarser stone wasn't as fine as the higher ones. Do you have any other diamond plates or was this your first? How much material are you trying to remove here?

    Workshop Table Saw budget £500-£1500

And you'll struggle to get one that takes a dado too. I think the laguna ones do but don't advertise it and also don't have a table for cutting sheets like that (though that doesn't stop our American cousins doing it with an 8*4 sheet and no sliding table or carriage). I'd probably be cutting...
