DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

I don't recall seeing anything on the panels and I can't see anything similar on ebay at the moment. There may have been something on the boxes but those are long gone. I might have a photo so I'll have a rummage. It could be that like a lot of things stock is short because of covid. You're not...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

I certainly can't :( I purchased the same LED panels as @Sheptonphil. He bought enough from an ebay seller that they then offered him 12 more for £256 delivered, so £21.33 each. That seller was buybest365 on ebay buybest365 on eBay. They sadly list no products at all. I have just messaged them...

I'm not misrepresenting anything. Because you and some other people don't know that a thing is something used by bigots, racists, homophobes etc to hide in plain sight doesn't make people that DO know these things saddos. The whole point of these symbols is to hide their true feelings and wave...

You are absolutely free to paint "Hitler was a Saint" on your forehead if it's what takes your fancy. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence. No sensible TV channel or presenter will want to be linked in any way to someone displaying nazi symbols for very clear and obvious reasons and...

    Cheap Remote Controlled Dust Extraction

Very useful write up. Is your vac now too powerful to just use a normal remote controlled socket?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/the-chop-sky-news-darren-lumsden-nazi-tattoos-88-symbol-b1206334.html If that's true maybe we shouldn't be entirely shocked that a skinhead with face tattoos that just happen to have links to nazis is in fact a nazi.

As yes. An old favourite and probably what spawned much of my interest when I was younger. "blade guard removed for filming purposes". OK Norm. We totally believe you.

Could not watch Youtube on my smart TV?

It's about continuing to support old devices and the cost of doing so. Literally every app for every device needs to be a bit different unless they are running something like android TV. I've never seen YouTube demand payment to access the service. It's not their business model as they make...

    Some more questions re. shed

I didn't do anything for airflow up there. I secured a 50x50 to the gable rafters as something for the barge board to secure to (I later had to add an extra 22m filler on top). The battens along the gable were placed below that 50x50. Theccladding boards then go upto the 50x50 and the barge...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

Wow thanks Terry! I must admit I have done the same with many a build thread over the last 10 years so I know the feeling only too well. One can only live vicariously for so long before having to do something about it. Oddly enough covid happening actually helped!

    Some more questions re. shed

Have you got a photo John? My gable ends just went right up to the roof. You might be able to see it in my thread.

Replace table saw with bandsaw and track saw.

Forgive me, I only meant to highlight some of the things a table saw just can't do. In your shoes I think of a project that could use bandsaw, buy one and then assess whether you keep the table saw afterwards. That may not be possible of course. It all depends on what you make really.

    Imperial vs Metric

The others I can kind of get, but hasn't the weather been reported in England in C for like 30 years?

Replace table saw with bandsaw and track saw.

I would not get rid of the table saw until you've even seen what a bandsaw can do and what it can;t do. My little Record 250 does most of the things I ask of it and the footprint is fairly small. Both have their own unique uses that can be used together or entirely separately to achieve the...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

First actual 'shop project in the new shop complete. A sheet goods rack similar to Stumpy Nubs one. I bought the castors but apart from that its just made from leftover construction timbers. which is great as it gets them off my joists too. Since my mitre saw won't do 200mm material as used for...
